I know there are people that have used photo affections. I got the groupon and will be using them for the first time.
What kind of card did you go with -the classic or premium card stock? And did you do glossy or matte? Just wondering if the basic one is nice enough? Or if I should pay extra for the premium card stock. I don’t necessarily need the extra pic on back but wondering if the card stock upgrade is necessary or if basic is still nice enough.
I didn't upgrade. I got DD's birth announcements printed on card stock from Shutterfly and absolutely hated it. I go with the glossy photo paper and I've never had a problem.
I always go with matte since I don't like how fingerprints can show up on the shinier paper. I upgraded to the premium cardstock last year, and was impressed with the quality. I did not upgrade this year, but I'm still waiting on them so I can't attest to the quality yet.
I got mine Saturday. The only thing I paid for beyond the groupon is extra cards. Mine are on matte cardstock, and I'm very happy with them, as I have been every year I've used them (the last 2? 3? Something like that).

I don’t upgrade and have been happy in the past (and was happy with DD’s birth announcements in June). We haven’t gotten our cards yet this year - they are on there way - but I don’t anticipate a problem.
I debated upgrading as well and didn’t. The card stock it comes with is very nice and is not the glossy photo paper, which I did not want.
It actually worked out well that the back is blank because I was able to write personalied messages on some and my DD was able to draw and color Christmas pictures on others since she said the design I picked was not festive enough.

I got mine today, too and I am super impressed! I didn’t upgrade the card stock and chose the matte finish. I usually use minted, so I’m really surprised I like these. Lol
I'm really glad that everyone is happy without upgrading. I cheaped out at the last minute and have been regretting it ever since. Hopefully mine arrive within the next day or two.
I'm glad to read this! I've done the Zazzle groupon deal for 3 or 4 years in a row, and loved their quality, but they didn't offer a groupon this year.
I went with Photo Affections because the groupon got universally good reviews. I wasn't sure I liked that they are 1-sided, and I didn't want flimsy photo paper (but didn't want to pay to upgrade).
Happy to hear that everyone is happy with the quality of the basic stock! I just ordered over the weekend, so don't expect to get them for a while yet.

You might be surprised! I ordered Nov 16 and had them in hand on the 20th.
How long does it take them to arrive once you order?
I ordered Sunday, and just got the email that they shipped. They are being sent USPS priority mail. I'm expecting that I'll probably get them Monday at the latest.
bcv513 great minds! I wanted a 3 photo option with landscape size pictures so my options were kind of limited, lol.
jinkies I used zazzle one year and they were not good, also their website was hard to use. Hopefully they've improved since then but Photo Affections was much easier to use and I love the quality. Also the packaging was great! I tore into them before getting a picture, lol

I just got the groupon! I went to order and shipping and tax isn’t included? I didn’t upgrade and it was still going to be like $14.00 at checkout. I knew shipping wasn’t included but I feel like tax is (plus shipping) when I’ve done zazzle in the past.

This is my 4th year using them with the Groupon, so obviously I've always been happy! They've arrived very quickly every year, this year no exception. I'm still working on stuffing, addressing, sealing and sticking stamps on 140 cards lol. I didn't upgrade, but this year I wish I'd selected the glossy. For some reason I don't love the matte as much, but that's on me. The paper quality is great. I too always fear the flimsy, shiny photo paper.
