My mom will often do fresh berries with cream.
I am dieting right now and trying to do low carb. I'm not actually doing keto but have used some keto products. I love chocolate (so the berries with cream doesn't cut it for me if I'm craving sweets) so I've been eating these chocolate bars. They are sweetened with monk fruit and seem fairly healthy for a small chocolate bar. They really are delicious.

My daughter and I rediscovered candied grapes tonight. You just sprinkle a little of a jello packet onto the grapes while they're still wet from being washed. I shake them around in a ziplock bag. I have a massive sweet tooth and it does the trick for me. My favorite combos are red grapes with cherry jello powder, or green grapes with watermelon.
My H almost always follows dessert with a Chobani or other yogurt. He has a massive sweet tooth and on a daily basis it helps. Still a lot of sugar but at least it's got good stuff in it too. He also likes dried fruit, it's often sweeter than fresh fruit and a different consistency so it can taste closer to candy. Just watch the added sugars (not all dried fruits add them, so we try to buy those).
For me it's just about portion control. I really dislike sugar free/low calorie treats (probably because I ate them for years in an effort to diet) and don't even want to bother anymore. A lot of the time that just means I don't buy it. I think breaking the habit is hard but once you do, it doesn't continue to be.
Pizzelle cookies are relatively low cal, and a popular WW choice 1 piece of hard candy actually doesn't have very many low calories, if you can just pop one or two, it can be a good way to satisfy a sweet craving Halo ice cream For drinks, there are teas that taste sweet even though they have no sweetener- The Sweet and Spicy tea from Costco is our favorite!
The bars are good too, with better built-in portion control, but I like some of the pint flavors better. Although the website tells me they have pistachio brittle bars, which I must find in store.
I have focused on eating the real stuff, but eating less of it. Eat it slowly and pay attention to how much I enjoy eating it. Instead of grabbing an entire handful of chocolate, I grab one. I take a second to recognize it as a nice treat, and am surprised at how satisfied I can be with only a fraction of what I used to think I needed to feel satisfied.
If I feel like I can’t have something, it only makes me want that thing more...so this has worked well for me. An apple will never feel like dessert for me, but I was shocked when I realized that I really could be happy with just one Hershey’s Kiss or one or two thin mints!
This has worked for me, too! I now do a much smaller serving of chocolate than in the past.

I have never seen this- do you have one, is it as great as it sounds?
We have one.
I used to make banana "ice cream" for the boys a lot. We would add toppings or they would eat it plain. The trick is to peel the bananas before freezing because its a pain to try when they are frozen. Other fruits were messier to make.
For single serving, apple slices with cinnamon sprinkled on it. Strawberries/raspberries/banana with cocoa powder. Single piece of Dove candy.
It's spelled b-a-g.
OP I sometimes do a fruit salad with a little zing that makes it more satisfying. Just whatever fruit I have on hand, with a little bit of citrus zest, lime juice, and a generous sprinkling of crystalized ginger. Penzey's has two kinds: one is larger, more regular cubes, and the other is smaller bits I've always assumed were the left over scraps of that process. The smaller bits are perfect for this.
Heck, when my kids were little that was often our vegetable for hot summer dinners when I didn't want to cook.

This can work for me too, but I have to be so careful to remain "mindful" while I am doing it. The second I stop hyper-focusing on the tiny bites and how good it tastes, I am shoveling a bunch in my mouth at once!
It is a good method though. My best friend is able to break off one square from a large dark chocolate bar every night and just eat that one square.
I get high quality, very high cocoa percentage chocolate chips. I can eat a small handful and feel ok. If it is one of those days, maybe I eat two or three handfuls! For some reason, I feel much better if I binge on some extra chocolate chips compared to binging on a second type of sweet. Eventually I get sick of them and don’t want to eat any more that day. They have a surprisingly low amount of sugar and only a couple of ingredients. I like the Guittard brand which they sell at Target. I keep them in the freezer and they are crunchy and cold.
I keep a tub of frosting in the fridge. When I am craving something sweet, I have a teaspoon of it. It’s usually sweet enough to curb my craving.
You have incredible willpower. This would be gone in two days.
...says the person who ate icing off her finger while my nieces cake decorated and they ran out before they finished.
It’s honestly my biggest weakness. I picked a flavor that’s super duper sweet and I’m not completely in love with (marshmallow). I’ve also majorly cut back on sweets, so if I have more than that, I usually end up feeling sick. I am really surprised that I’ve done so well with avoiding sweets.
