I have a huge list of things I need recommendations for... I'm sure someone can help. And I'm sure someone else needs recommendations too, so just add onto this list?
1. Everyday sunscreen for kids. One that I can slather on DD's face easily eithout complaints. I am willing to sacrifice trying to get the "healthiest" sunscreen to get one that she'll actually put on regularly without tears. 2. Deodorant. All of a sudden, I stink. Dove and Suave suddenly don't cut it. 3. Comfortable black heels <$150, <"2 inch heel, almond shaped toe box preferred, but definitely no pointy toes. 4. Dry shampoo that's non-aerosol and is environmentally friendly. I switched from bottle shampoo to bar shampoo and have been happy with the change, but I haven't found an alternative dry shampoo to Batiste. 5. Deck stain/sealer for our pergola that's forgiving for a novice/lazy DIY'er. Now that Osh has shut down, I'm stuck with Home Depot and Lowes and their paint departments are.. meh.
We use thinkbaby sunscreen, ordered on Amazon. Gets good environmentally friendly reviews and easy to slather. My 3 pale children require daily sunscreen in SoCal, so we go through a lot.
I like my Cole Haan wedge heels. They used to do a partnership with Nike Air, but then brought it in house and how they call the same technology 100 grand or somwthing like that. My Blondo booties are the most comfortable shoes I have, but wrong season.

I use secret clinical strength deodorant and have for years. My biggest issue has always been underarm sweating, which this helps with, but I've never had an issue smelling. A dry shampoo alternative is baby powder. I used it until I started experimenting with dry shampoos. You have to really work it into your hair though.
2. Degree 4. Baby powder. It really does work! But I have really dark hair so it is too light for me to use without more effort than I am willing to apply.
TTMA 1. Ceiling fans. Other than “has a remote” what do I want our upgrades to feature? 2. Wood blinds vs interior wood shutters. I am thinking blinds as shutters are insanely expensive. (We are getting rid of the 70s curtains in our front rooms). But is there an upside to shutters? 3. Where do I buy a new bathroom vanity? Tried Home Depot and Nebraska Furniture and very tiny selections.

I actually HATE a remote for a fan. It was always getting lost. I like having two switches - one for the light, one for the fan.
Shutters all the way. I love ours. Benefits = visual appeal, thermal insulation, they don’t blow in the wind, and you don’t have to worry about the cords getting tangled. It was one of our first projects for our new house.
Our contractors all had vendors they worked with for vanities, but try Costco or Wayfair.
k3am - I had to section my hair to expose the scalp incrementally, make little piles of baby powder on a Kleenex, drop tiny pinches onto the exposed scalp and rub. Tedious. But worked.
k3am,I am terrible about sun screen. I mean awful about it. I need to start keeping it in the diaper bag so I can at least get the kids slathered when we are outside. I am only diligent when I know we are going to be outside for the majority of the day. Track meets, pool time, cookouts. Daily wear? eh. My kids aren't outside that much.
Deodorant; I love degree motion sense. I stink; have to take 2 showers a day stink. Degree works for me. If I get worse I might have to talk to a doctor though. Has anything changed in your diet recently? That can change your BO sometimes.
Can't help with the rest sorry.
I need help with:
1. a gym bag for my 4 year old and his soccer stuff/swim/ future sports stuff; Hopefully will last 2-4 years or seasons. Reasonably priced in case he hates soccer. 2. A summer work shoe, low heal, closed toe (preferred for work) preferably nude but I can be flexible.

Related to deodorant, I've heard of an "armpit detox" where you mix bentonite clay with apple cider vinegar into a paste, apply it to your armpits, and then wash it off when it dries. I haven't tried it myself yet, but I'm planning to do it once a week or so when the weather warms up.
xctsclrx - sports bags for us have to have 1) generous (wide and deep) water bottle pockets 2) a ball compartment 3) a small pocket (great catch all for other players’ earrings, league badges, lace keepers)
Check out Academy and don’t look at just your sport. DD’s volleyball bag is an Adidas soccer bag (backpack style but totally different than their team kit line).
DS uses an old LL Bean backpack and a small Lands End duffel - it works for now, but as he gets bigger I will want the items listed above.

xctsclrx, www.swimoutlet.com/p/speedo-large-35l-teamster-backpack-7535469/?color=41075 this bag or something similar works great. I have an really old school model and I still use it. Big enough for a ball or helmet but also has the cool swimming functions or smaller pockets. I also recommend not looking at just soccer or baseball specific bags. All you really need is something big and study that can hold all the stuff and ride around in the car for the season or get dropped of at aftercare if you are doing the carpool thing down the road.
Looking for: compression socks or sleeves for my calves. The set of 6 I bought from Amazon 6 weeks ago are already getting holes and see through in sections.
k3am, DD prefers the spray sunscreen. She sprays it into her hands and then rubs allover her face. Summer camp also asks for the spray as it is easier to apply to 50 kids. For at home and long days outside we use FACE which is 100% zinc and I tell her it is like makeup which then makes it cool.
Soccer socks needed. You would think I would know this but I am looking for something different than normal. No compression (Adidas, Brine are too tight). Stretchy so very easy to get on. Stay up though - so they aren’t throwaway. I’ll pay for Amazon to make these appear or can run to Academy while the nanny is here this afternoon because someone has to be here for the flooring installers, and that’s my only window before I go to DD’s 7:45 soccer game 40 minutes away and the second sitter arrives. I may have a nervous breakdown any second.
TWERK DDOT - DS is being a total diva about his boot - he got booted yesterday - it may or may not be a fracture of either the growth plate or the cartilage, clinically it appears to be but they can’t confirm without an MRI so he’s in a boot for two weeks with a follow up to determine if it’s healed ie wasn’t broken or broken so boot for three more weeks. Also I still went and had a beer after middle school orientation and the sitter put DS to bed. I even asked the sitter to roll the trash out so I would not forget. Zero guilt. And bonus - our sitter folded ALL our recycling boxes.
Honestly, the sunscreen issue is more about DH than DD. DD hates sunscreen and would prefer not to wear it. DH hates putting it on her. So unless I find something that's SUPER easy for him to put on her in the mornings, it's not going to get put on her.
This is our first year that we don't have daycare putting sunscreen on her, and her freckles are popping out like whoa. And while I *love* her freckles, I also view them as a sign that she's probably getting too much sun, so I want something light weight and easy to put on for her that becomes a part of their routine without a fus. Like.. I don't want to slather on a sport sunscreen or mineral based sunscreen every day, but I do put on a moisturizer with sunscreen. But what I use is probably more expensive than I want to spend on a 6 year old. Or maybe not. I don't know.
k3am, There's a "dry touch" one that's really nice. I think it's from Neutrogena, so a little pricey. But doesn't feel sticky after you apply. I don't use it on the kids though. My very pale, very Irish kids need the heavy duty stuff.

k3am the stick was a lifesaver for us. Ds actually Liked it and could do it himself. And it takes 2 seconds and I don’t get gross. The sun bum brand smells amazing.

And, as something for the "pro" list for the stick sunscreen, it will be less likely to create a mess in a bag...like what I discovered in DS's backpack this morning. At some time recently, the cap came off of his tube of sunscreen in his backpack and leaked all over that pocket and the bottom of his backpack.

It's amusing to see all the love for it, since I really didn't like Thinkbaby at all. We used it for years with DD when she was younger and I didn't find it easy to spread at all. =\
Not something specific, but I'm looking for gift ideas that are at the iPad level of price and "wow factor" for our employees. iPads used to be a lot "cooler" as a gift, but it feels like most people have a tablet or a fancy enough phone now that it's not as impressive as it used to be. Any ideas?
