While this episode was good, I think wasn't the big episodes that they've been doing so far.
I loved Amy in this episode. Her with a gun was great. I thought that it was pretty predictable that Jex (the doctor) was going to die to save the town. I liked that he brought up the Master. And I thought that he was pretty reminiscent of 9 and 10 here (fire and ice and rage).
And, what's with Christmas? The Doctor is bringing it up a lot these days.
I know what you mean, I don't have much to say either.
I think that it's hard because they aren't constant companions, like say Rose. They have a whole other life. Which I think the Doctor wants them to have but he also wants (and needs) them so he's trying to compromise. Which is clearly not working that well. I think this next episode we'll get more of that too.
I think the rage is always there just under the surface. Being alone too long is bad for him, it's come up before. I'm actually kind of glad to see this because it was a bigger part of the other doctors.
Mfluder, if you tell me that you're not only a Burberry beauty fan, but also a Doctor Who and Farscape fan I'm going to declare you my new BFF. Hopefully not in a creepy way.
Another motif (since someone brought up Christmas) that I've noticed in the last few episodes are lightbulbs/eggs. They've popped up in each of the first four episodes now. Coincidence? With Moffat in charge, I think not.
