May Projects

What is everyone working on?  I just finished a pair of socks for a friend and am about to finish another pair for my son.  That will leave me with only two projects on the go: A fingering weight sweater and a pair of patterned socks.

All the teacher gifts.
These were for Religious Ed teachers.

A music bag for the choir director. Still undecided on the kids’ main teachers. Ans the music theater directors. And need to decide if I’m doing something for the GATE teacher too.

I always say I won’t wait until the last minute. We get out of school June 7.

I’ve finished this jelly roll race quilt for a quilt guild charity event.



And I’ve gotten my Sister’s baby quilt almost finished. No photos yet.

I did a local craft fair last week. I was really excited to show off all my crocheted creations.

And these bibs and bows for 2 of dh’s friends who just had baby girls (both with lots of black hair!)

Another teacher set done.

I’ve made three of these bags (pattern is from Parker on the Porch, Daybreak Bag) and I think I dislike the design. I’m closer on the strawberries to what I want it to be, but I’m pretty sure if I had switched the green and the berries I would have found something else wrong. They were both loved by the music theater directors, thankfully. And the kids did amazing with the show. The group is called Up With Kids and is based in Utah. I feel fortunate we are within their circle of service. The show this year was a rather convoluted story that started with Cinderella, made a stop at the nutcracker, and ended up in the Greatest Show(man).

I love the cuff bracelet. Where did you get the clasp to join it? 

I'd love to do this with some of my girl scout fabric, for my girl scouts.

It literally took about 5-10 minutes to make, and most of that was turning the fabric tube right side out after I sewed it.

Y’all tired of mine yet? Another teacher gift done.

It’s the free Madras tote from Noodlehead. Choir director requested a music bag if it was easy. This was pretty easy. And I could do a super simple bag. This fit the bill I think. Seems she carries her music in a binder.
