He’s getting better every day- but the progress is slow. At least to me. It’s now been one week since the spinal tap and he was able to come to the park with us yesterday, but he mostly just laid on the blanket the whole time. He still needs lots of breaks and rest and he’s still in pain, but apparently this could still be part of the meningitis, too. We have an appointment with a neurologist for this week so hopefully they can give us some more answers if he’s still experiencing the head aches, but he’s saying he feels much better than he did a few days ago. So hopefully he keeps getting a bit better every day!
I'm sorry I just saw this! I've never had a spinal but I do know headaches and he might benefit from something like Fioricet (it's caffeine, Tylenol, and a mild barbiturate - I have them for migraines). In the meantime hydrate as much as he can, and something with electrolytes might help, like Gatorade cut with water or Essentia. Message me if you need to.

My spinal headache resolved on its own. I can’t remember how long, but I laid flat for a few days and drank lots of cokes. Cokes jemo win constriction. They told me a blood patch may make things worse and it was better to ride it out.

I hope he feels better soon.
He actually went all day today without taking any medication, so hopefully it’s getting better. I think from the start of him getting sick until all this is done will be about a month, if I’m being realistic. It’s a bit hard to swallow.

Yay for no meds! That’s progress. Dealing with an unexpected illness is tough on the person who’s sick and their spouse. You’re doing a good job. Hugs.
