My progesterone results are in at 73. Apparently Canada considers 50 the cut off for the LP so they're high. I don't really know what that means yet other than my research tells me cysts are a possibility. I'm waiting to hear from my OB's office today, otherwise I'll call them and ask what it means/if we need to do an ultrasound to look at my ovaries. I don't want to do another femara cycle without knowing if there are existing cysts.
I had a 7 dpo progesterone draw during the cycle that ended up being my second loss and it was 37 then.
Has anyone else had a high result and what was the outcome?
Did you have monitoring? If you have multiple follicles on the meds it would make sense that you had higher progesterone levels, as they are correlated.
No, my OB did not do any cycle monitoring outside of the day 21 draw. If we do another femara cycle I'm going to insist on monitoring. I do not like being in the dark.
@seeyallater52 I’m glad you got some answers, but I’m sure you are still not feeling so great. Take care of yourself and move forward when you are ready.
seeyalater52 I can relate to that feeling of unexpected results and it causing you to question everything. It sounds like the immune protocol was possibly beneficial or potentially caused no harm, so perhaps it's something to continue to pursue. It seems like you're in a period of weighing the pros and cons between the two clinics right now. Would it be helpful to meet with the new clinic and go over your case?
Hugs msmerymac . It's hard to sit out, but a break could be helpful for you to have more time to heal too. I wouldn't want to move forward with another transfer until I felt confident either, but it's so hard to wait.

I dont think they can really say that your progesterone is abnormally high if they don’t know how many follicles you produced on the letrozole! Definitely push for monitoring but try not to worry because it could be completely normal.

I’m going to set up a regroup consult with them to supplement the initial consult we had. I’m just so frustrated because I’ve called and messaged through the portal multiple times and they never get back to me. They were great at the appointment but I’m used to having a LOT more access to my doctor for questions that pop up between appointments or during treatment. It kind of gives me a blah feeling about things.

I get that--I hate feeling like I have to chase answers down. It could be variations in how the practices run, though. At mine, I interact quite a bit with the nurses but very rarely with my doctor. And the nurses were always much quicker and responsive when I was in the middle of a cycle, so it could be a priority level of where they focus their attention. But that's a huge sacrifice if you're coming from a practice with a lot of personalized service and interaction. It's a really tough decision to make.

It’s also just annoying because I can’t make a decision about whether to switch clinics if you ignore my inquiries about costs and critical protocol elements! I’m not brand new to this, we have consulted with many clinics and I’ve had mixed success getting info from the doctors but usually a nurse at least responds. It is really putting me off, but we will probably get a real follow up on the books to make a real decision. We aren’t planning to cycle until Nov so we have some time.

this is what i thought as well. It usually meant that I had multiple eggs/follicles mature or drop for the cycle. (my clinic only let me have 2max mature per side I think since only one side will ovulate in a cycle). My doctor told me one cycle with a high progesterone number that I had two eggs drop for it.

This is kind of what I suspect happened, but there's no way to know for sure without having been monitored which I'll be discussing when I see him next Tuesday.

Biopsy is done! It was a little uncomfortable but not terrible. I took 800 Mg ibuprofen an hour before. Glad it’s done! And I had my annual exam scheduled with him a few days before the appt when I get all the results from the reproductive immunology doctor. He moved my annual to the week after so we can discuss the results.

My practice seems similar to yours. During my cycles every time I had a question or needed and appointment I felt like a priority. Now that my cycle is done, I have to wait 3 weeks for my follow up. I get it, I’m not cycling, I’m no longer a priority for good reason. I almost exclusively interact with my coordinating nurse and not my dr. Except for my consults and follow ups.

BFN. It’s been 9 days since transfer (5 day embryo )
My clinic won’t do my blood test until 14 days post transfer which I think is crazy.
Ugh so annoying. I don’t know if they will let me cycle again next month with a FET. Did anyone’s clinic let them? Or did you have to take a month off?

Oh crap, I’m so sorry. I dont see any reason wnu you couldn’t cycle again right away. A lot of clinics do FETs back to back, the only reason I had to wait in between was for insurance pre-authorization.
I have a HSG scheduled for Monday. I’m a little nervous, but my RE said she is sending me to the best dr to have it done. This cycle I’m on letrozole instead of clomid, will trigger, and do IUI. If this cycle doesn’t work my RE wants to move on to injectables for ovulation (I don’t have any details about this yet). I’m going to inquire about IVF cost at my next appointment because while insurance covers 100%, we do have a limit on how much they will pay and I don’t want to do several rounds of IUI if we decide to do IVF in the long run.

I'm sorry starryfish . That stinks. How many embryos did you end up freezing?
My clinic said they have had better success with FETs than with fresh transfers even with untested embryos. Hopefully that will hold true for you, whenever the next transfer is.

Good luck with the hsg! I was nervous too, but I didn't think it was any worse than a pelvic exam with a speculum. Hopefully yours goes really smoothly. The nice thing is they give you feedback as it's happening, so you have an idea whether the tubes are open or not.
I'm glad your RE is willing to try different options with you. Good luck.
starryfish I’m so sorry. Do you think it still might be too early to get a positive?
No I started bleeding yesterday through the meds. Like psycho period. Sigh. Nurse said I can’t cycle back to back Bc I started bleeding before the 21 day required blood test from study. I am going on vacation next week so it probably wouldn’t have worked out this month anyways.

We have 4 frozen. 3 good, 1 ok I think. Will do next transfer in sept
