August projects

Anyone do anything great so far? Or just have finished projects. I'm in a project slump, too much work not enough sleep. BUUUT I finally started a knitting project that I'm really happy with.

Kids just finished swimming lessons and both loved their instructors.



Katie’s fob has waves and mermaid scales. My kids are literalists.

I bought yarn to make myself a new winter set. Gloves, hat, scarf. Ive started and restarted the scarf three times now. I decided to switch gears and picked a pattern for the gloves, im working on the first one now.

I hope to finish my quilted table runner, I need to piece the borders on and quilt it, but it’s aleays easier to pick up an easy project instead, like my crossstitch:

A friend of mine runs a vintage and handmade goods store, and my socks flew off the shelves last year. I'm going to start making some for her. It coincides nice with vacation (=knitting time). I'm also in love with the Wee Lima baby sweater pattern, so I'm going to make a few of those. I made the scarf Protest is Patriotic over the summer, and I'm using the same pattern but doing it as a rainbow. It's my conference call project

We finally got to the pool for a swim not associated with lessons today and saw Katie. She said thank you and thought the fobs were super cute. I’m relieved. My kids are such literalists that every swim teacher that doesn’t give me an idea gets a mermaid tail or a shell or a dolphin or something else water related. And for K’s teacher, any shell wouldn’t do. He had to have a nautilus. It seems I have Minecraft to thank for that.
