Lucas is now in 4th and Caleb is in 6th! I’m sad that Lucas has a different teacher this year. We lived last year’s. But here’s hoping it turns out ok. We had to take him off his Ritalin during the summer because he lost weight. But he’s gained some and I don’t see how he’s supposed to get through school without it. Caleb wasn’t real keen on going back. But I hope he has fun. We moved him to the hybrid program this year since Spanish wasn’t going well.
liveintheville, I cannot believe they are in 6th and 4th! I still think of Lucas as a toddler lol. Also, I feel like school started super early this year! Did your boys do Somerville pre-k? I need to look into that soon as I know you need to apply early and there is a lottery. It was very un-MM of me to have a fall baby and I'd love to avoid another $20K in daycare by getting him into public pre-k!
Cal started in the pre-school room this week, and is loving it so far. The one issue is that he's the only kid (of 10) that isn't potty trained yet (he's 2y9m!). He definitely notices and has anxiety about it, but is still super scared of the potty. Ugh.
Darby starts daycare on 9/25 and while I feel a little sad about it I think I'll be ready to go back to work at that point. I've enjoyed this maternity leave a lot more than I did with Cal (who was a totally miz baby lol), but I'm not cut out to be a SAHM.

Hope your sons had a great first day and year, liveintheville !
scm1011 , hope you and your little ones are well! I can't believe Cal is already almost 3. Didn't we just all have dinner when you were pregnant with him? Hope you enjoy the last few weeks of maternity leave!
Ben started his second year of pre-k this week. He kept insisting he was going to middle school because they did a project at the end of last year where they all decorated different buildings in town, and he had the middle school. He would not listen to reason, right up to when were walking up to his classroom. This kid, man.

scm1011 Caleb didn’t into public pre-K. We paid for kindercare that year. Lucas got in thank god. It was good. We were really happy with it. People talk about the schools here but we’ve been really pleased overall.
Ha, S doesn't start until tomorrow. To prepare we decided to get 2 teeth pulled on Tuesday in preparation for braces/headgear starting in 2020 I can't believe the kiddos are all getting so grown up all of a sudden. 5kcandlesinthewind, I love that story
