Those that did subsequent transfers for baby #2+, what did you do about lifting your toddlers? My transfer was yesterday morning and my parents watched DS yesterday during the transfer so I rested all day yesterday but I’ve had to obviously pick DS up to get him in and out of the car seat and now I am all paranoid lol.

Well my RE is very relaxed about all those things and says to live like normal so I’ve never had any restrictions. I did two FETs when DS was just over 2 years old and while none of them worked I don’t think it had anything to do with lifting. I somehow managed to get pregnant on my own a few months later and I did the same amount of lifting then.
If it stresses you out avoid it when possible but don’t worry about those times when it’s necessary.

We did an FET for #2 in June and have a 2.5 year old mama’s boy. I was pretty good about avoiding lifting for the first 9 days until a positive test (except for maybe car seat help). Then, I just avoided anything “extra,” but stopped feeling so make or break it. I basically gave myself permission to do what was needed.

My H did all the lifting. I told E1 that mommy was hurting and couldn't pick him up for a little while. We did lots of couch snuggles.

We did the same. And once I got to the second trimester with twins, the toddler got swapped to a toddler bed, about 3.5 months before she turned 2. She also climbed up into the car and her RF extend2fit, and then I just leaned over and buckled.

I tried for a couple days to avoid lifting my then almost 3 year old (who was WAY more than the 25 lbs the RE said) but it definitely happened. Into and out of car seat, crib, bath, etc. After about 2 or 3 days I pretty much gave up worrying about it. I did try to avoid just carrying him for a couple weeks when I could help it.
Thanks everyone! I picked him up a few times the day after the transfer but havent since. He is a big daddys boy so its been quite easy lol.
Speaking of which, I went into his nursery this morning to wake him up and he rolled around his crib and moaned no over and over again. DH comes in a few seconds later, DS sees him, immediately jumps and and wants out of the crib immediately. Thanks kid.
