It's a rainy day here, which means we can actually clean up our basement without feeling like we should be outside in beautiful weather. We are rebuilding our garage so everything from the garage is down there plus we just moved into the house in the spring, so it's basically a disaster down there. We bought a new couch that arrived this week and planned to put the old one in the basement, but until we clean it up, it can't fit! So the couch may be down there by tonight too, bonus!
I'm on CD2, and I think we are going to try this cycle. I've been on prednisone for 2 weeks and go in for blood work tomorrow to see if it has knocked my immune and inflammation numbers back down. I was ready to pull my hair out dealing with FedEX this past week to figure out overnighting some of the blood to the speciality lab, but it is finally figured out. I start lovenox CD6. It's pretty terrifying after so much loss, but it's the first time I've had answers and a plan in 2.5 years.
ilovecandy - yay for good news! I hope it continues to be good news for you!

pinkpeony08 yay for having a plan. Also is your new couch a sectional? We will need a new couch next year after we move so I am collecting who likes their couches. We tend to prefer sectionals.

ilovecandy - after a lot of debate, we ended up using the 20% Crate and Barrel coupon you get when you move to buy a Barrett Lounger. We heard really good things about the quality of Crate and Barrel couches from a friend, which pushed us into buying one vs something else. Our couch now in the TV room is a Rowe brand couch- they supposedly make the couches for Pottery Barn or did maybe before? You can buy the Rowe brand sofas from a furniture store for a lot less than Pottery Barn, and it is now 10 years old and has held up amazingly. The fabric has some small, light stains and needs to be cleaned, but the cushions are still firm and look great.
The progesterone birth control pills I have been taking Seem to be doing a good job at keeping my period at bay. Although, my dr said it’s not the best for period suppression so I’m crossing my fingers I can make it until I see my gynecologist mid October.
Other than that, I feel physically good. I’ve been working out quite a bit. I think I may have lost some weight, but I don’t want to check. IVF sure took a toll on my body.
I have a good group of second graders so far, so again I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the honeymoon period hasn’t worn off yet. 🤣🤣
I'm still celebrating landing my new job. Tomorrow is my last day at my current one and I am SO excited to leave my homophobic, racist, religious hypocrite boss behind me. The more I have gotten to know her the worse a person she is showing herself to be. But she loves Jesus, so it's ok apparently. I have 3 days off and I'm getting a mani/pedi, massage and a much needed hair cut.

Joenali- yay for feeling better physically ivf is so so hard on bodies (in my opinion).
the good: We went over the weekend and bought some Halloween decorations for outside. Normally we'll decorate for Halloween and Christmas. I'm kinda excited to do the outside ones this year. I'm just stopping myself from buying the candy now because I know for fact it won't make it until then.

Um, cosigned.
I cannot buy candy until the day before. I have no willpower.

My mom is coming to visit on Thursday and I took Friday off from work, so that's cool.
Yay! How long has it been since you saw her?
Along mom lines I was talking to mine today and asked if h and I were to do a vacation end of Jan or Feb would she come watch the dogs and hold down the fort. She was all of course I will you don't even have to pay for my ticket up there. I love my mom she is truly the best.

July 4th. She's about 300 miles away now, so we see her probably 3-5 times a year, which is much more frequently than when we lived 3000 miles away! We have plans to mostly grill out for dinner, and my mom loves to shop, so I'm going to take her to a few places around here - thrift shopping, the King of Prussia mall, and this place near my office with a ton of antique shops.

The last and final round was awful. I was in a lot of pain and I felt like I was bloated for weeks. It was a blessing that we were on summer break during that time.
I had labs done last week including immune labs and then for a message from the clinic on Friday afternoon saying the nk activity went way up and I should cancel this cycle. Plus there was confusion about submitting a med for insurance approval and it sounds like basically nothing has happened with it, which is really frustrating. And the clinic isn’t super responsive via the online portal, so I’m going in Thursday for more testing after adjusting the prednisone. Just really bummed. The mental game of this plus all the emotional pgal is draining.

Ever since canceling my last cycle (gonal-f, was supposed to do iui but I over responded) and now waiting for my next cycle to begin, I’ve really enjoyed not having several appointments a week, the hassle of shots, and having to plan literally everything around ttc. I’m CD20 now and the plan is to do a lower dosage of gonal-f next cycle, and hopefully do iui. If that doesn’t work we were considering IVF, but after this break we’ve had I’m almost considering being done. I don’t know that I have it in me for the stress of IVF, and I feel like H and I have been connecting more now that everything isn’t revolving around ttc.

Moonriver I get that.
And to keep the feel good my brother called me the other day about doing Christmas at my grandma's (she has cancer). He got the whole in on it and even contacted the cousins. Looks like we are doing a large family gathering (we are all staying at hotels so as not stress out grandma) for Christmas. Trying to get a dog sitter if we can't nail one down then h may stay home. Which makes me sad. Also my in laws may be irritated because we did Christmas with my family last year too. But they get us for Thanksgiving and this is only cause my grandma is sick and we don't know how long she has.
