((cleo29)) That's a scary thing to hear from your kid. I'm sorry that she's struggling so much. Is she in therapy? Maybe having someone to talk to would help.

I need to find someone through our insurance. BUt she needs something. I also think her learning issues are really starting to get to her and she knows that she is not getting things the way a lot of kids do. I get it, I was that kid. But, I had friends and I think that at least balanced things out for me. Her having struggles in both areas is just really hard on her.

I had no idea an ESA could fly free of charge, and with the non discrimination policy for AirBnB he can also stay with us. It was a huge worry to leave him behind since both D and I are going and I don't trust him with anyone plus he really helps with my anxiety (and I also think he helps keep my boyfriend calm.. they are so bonded). I got his official letter updated, need to sign some forms and we are good to go! I'm less stressed and more excited for the trip now.
I made peanut butter chocolate overnight oats last night, figuring I'd try them again after kind of hating them the first time, and nope, I'm still not a fan. Even using quick oats instead of rolled oats the texture is just so weird (and I'm a person who likes regular hot oatmeal).
I should go to the gym and then check in with my sister about our mom*, but I'm sitting her laughing at my H's cat, because she's conked out so hard and is currently snoring louder than he does. LOL!
*She ended up getting one new stent put in yesterday afternoon, and her other two stents were clear, and in theory she is going to be released from the hospital today.
We went out to dinner on Saturday night with a group of 12 total, 10 of whom had ridden their bicycles 100 miles that day. I should've known things were going to be bad when we get there and are told that they are out of all appetizers except 1, they can only do one salad, but don't have all the ingredients, no soup because it's too hot, and no Veal (it was an Italian restaurant). After TWO HOURS when we still had no food and the owner came over to tell us it was going to be longer still, I lost my shit. Not one of my finer moments, but I was pissed. We ended up walking out and getting pizza on the Boardwalk.
I'm not in the mood to work today. I've been here 2 hours and the only thing I've done is read some emails. Meh.
I would have lost my shit on them after no food after the first hour, so I think you are good that you made it two hours before losing it. Especially after a century ride, OMG. The hunger.

I was just going to say this. At an hour, I think I would have been up to a table flipping rage so at two, you are a saint IMO @sameoldstory

I spent a little too much at target today due to finding a few good clearance items in their workout dept, which were then an additional 20% off with cartwheel.
Just checked my email and my kids have another thing for school where they have to bring in some sort of picture from when they were younger. I get so annoyed with this because I never print photos, so I don’t just have one on hand to send in. And I currently can’t find my hard drive that has all the pics on it (I would be flipping out, but I’m positive it’s somewhere in the mess that is our office), so I can’t even find one to send to a one hour photo somewhere.

Can you pull something off of facebook or similar? I've had to do that in the past.
Something is messed up in my back, and I have a lateral pelvic tilt, where it looks like one leg is longer than the other, and my hips are not aligned with my shoulders. I wish I knew which of the 10,000 chiropractors around here were good, because I need one.
It was much worse yesterday....I was in a lot of pain. I got a massage before we went to a tequila seminar/tasting (that we had paid for months ago) at Epcot, and the massage at least helped with the pain since it loosened things up a bit. The tequila didn't hurt. lol We really enjoyed the tasting and learned a lot about tequila.
Today I have been trying different stretches, and it is only half as bad as it was yesterday. I am hoping that I can magically manage to fix it with more stretches this afternoon. Thankfully I have a high pain threshold and there isn't much pain today, so I will just keep on stretching off and on.
I have this as well and I would highly recommend a chiro. He has helped me so much. I found one by asking family & friends.

It would help if I actually had friends or family to ask....we don't really have anyone, and none of our neighbors use a chiropractor.
My chiropractor in CA retired around the time we moved away, but really, the person that I miss the most is a particular Asian massage guy at the mall there. He was like my chiropractor and a masseuse in one, and he could fix my worst problems with one visit. He was the absolute best. I almost cried when I realized that moving meant I wouldn't have him around to take care of me. I haven't found anyone here that can do what he could do.
At least I am much improved at this point. I used electric stim and was able to do some different stretches after that, and I am almost there. I will still look for a chiropractor, but we recently got new health insurance and I need for DH to help me figure it out, since I forgot my password and he's the one who set it all up. He's been too busy today, so it will have to wait until he gets off work.
I had today off because my office is interviewing sometime to possibly take my place. I keep alternating between wanting them to be looking forever to replace me and hoping they hire this person today so I can be off work the rest of the week. 3 weeks from now we will be sitting on a beach in Hawaii and it can’t come fast enough!

That’s a good idea, we actually did that last week for one of these picture things! But we used DH’s Facebook because I deactivated mine (I’m not sure mine would be helpful anyway...I very rarely posted anything). Luckily, I didn’t have to wait for him, as I finally found my hard drive! It was in a drawer that I swear I had already checked 50 times!

TBM that stinks about missing your guy! I hope you find someone. It is no fun. I do find it helps when I am careful about how I sit and sleeping positions. Nothing miraculous or anything but it helps a little.
First world problem of the day - we are having outdoor family photos taken on Sunday. I stressed a ton and finally found great fall outfits for all of us. It was an ordeal lol. Now with this stupid weather it’s going to be in the 80s! No way can we wear what I picked out, my kids will swelter. I’m so annoyed.

I spent a big chunk of the weekend going through every piece of clothing my kids have, including everything that was in storage for fall/winter, to see what we need and what we can get rid of. It is just such a huge and thankless task. I mean, I feel good that it's nearly done, and they actually don't need much, which is GREAT, plus I have a bunch of nice stuff to donate and some to send to my niece and a friend's daughter, and I have a reason to do a little bit of shopping for them, which is fun. So it was productive and everything, but still -- ugh.
DD2 is going to do her school's running club again this year, and the 5K they are doing is the local turkey trot on the weekend after Thanksgiving. I have been dabbling in the first few weeks of C25K, again, and so I'm already partway into training and I'm going to sign up to run with her. DH and maybe even DD1 probably will, too. Today was my first day of longer runs and man, my bum ankle is really sore. I'll do some of my PT exercises and I'm icing it, but this part of getting older -- not bouncing back from injuries as well or as completely -- really sucks. But hey, I'm running! And it is going okay, as far as my cardio condition, it's just the ankle that is bothering me.
I have this as well and I would highly recommend a chiro. He has helped me so much. I found one by asking family & friends.

I can recommend my chiro I don’t go through insurance though. He’s in Orlando off 17/92. The closest *major* intersection is Fairbanks. I haven’t thrown my back out once since going to him.

H gave DS some ibuprofen because his teeth were hurting him and he has turned into a gremlin. Is this a thing with ibuprofen? I’ve heard of it happening with Benadryl, but never a pain reliever.
