This article is half IQ45 releasing the transcript of the call with Ukraine and half updated to include info about Pelosi announcing the inquiry later today...

Regarding releasing the transcript of that call -
1) what is the likelihood he has seen the transcript and actually knows what it really says? Any word on that?
2) if by some chance he didn’t spell it out and wrap it up with a bow during the phone call - is the impeachment inquiry required to ONLY focus on this one incident? Or can they follow any of the other giant flashing red lights where he overtly and flagrantly broke the law?

I highly doubt the whistleblower complaint is about that specific call actually, or he wouldn’t be releasing the transcript. I also wouldn’t trust any “official” transcript out of this White House.

The whistleblower has said that phone is just one of many concerning "incidents", so I would sincerely hope they will include all of that as well as everything else.
Is McConnell trying to distance himself from this mess? Dare I hope he realizes the GOP may not be able to cover for Trump much longer? *please please please*

As much as I despise MM et al, we need them to abandon him in droves. After DT goes down, let the rest fall.
MCCONNELL has hotlined the resolution calling for the release of the whistleblower report. Schumer asking for unanimous consent for its passsage.
If you dont' know what hotlining is (I did not), this appears to be correct.
Replying to @jakesherman
Explain: hotlined

@gs_Watson
"Hotlining is the practice of bypassing regular Senate procedures and moving legislation through to a vote with little or no floor debate in an attempt to pass the legislation through the unanimous consent of all Senators"

ETA a twist. I'm still confused but this sounds like a McConnell trick and we shouldn't get our hopes up.

It either has to be really bad, or it's a nothing burger again in their eyes and further 'proof' that the democrats are just out to get Trump.
So he's either flipping to the other side or he's pretending to by hotlining this and knowing (hoping) one person will not vote ok? So then he can say "I TRIED TO HELP". Sadly, I'm guessing it's the latter.

Yeah, McConnell is never going to turn on Trump. It's possible other Senators won't give him exactly what he wants, though.
Hotlined bills are sent for quick approval with unanimous consent, typically.
But this is damage control, I believe. They want to avoid Trump looking guilty as hell as he refuses for months to give it, only to have SCOTUS say he must, with Dems then releasing it publicly.
Instead, McConnell wants this going only to the Intel Committees, who do business in private, so this never is public.
OMG, I fell asleep with a migraine 2.5 hours ago and woke up to a text from my sister asking me what was going on with Pelosi. This isn't a fever dream, right?
