Isn’t this a no brainer? Especially after the comments Drump made about being a spy?
And he's back at it again tonight.
Donald J. Trump @realdonaldtrump
Like every American, I deserve to meet my accuser, especially when this accuser, the so-called “Whistleblower,” represented a perfect conversation with a foreign leader in a totally inaccurate and fraudulent way. Then Schiff made up what I actually said by lying to Congress...... 3:53 PM · Sep 29, 2019·
Donald J. Trump @realdonaldtrump
His lies were made in perhaps the most blatant and sinister manner ever seen in the great Chamber. He wrote down and read terrible things, then said it was from the mouth of the President of the United States. I want Schiff questioned at the highest level for Fraud & Treason..... 3:53 PM · Sep 29, 2019·
Donald J. Trump @realdonaldtrump
....In addition, I want to meet not only my accuser, who presented SECOND & THIRD HAND INFORMATION, but also the person who illegally gave this information, which was largely incorrect, to the “Whistleblower.” Was this person SPYING on the U.S. President? Big Consequences! 3:53 PM · Sep 29, 2019·

Does (mis)quoting the sixth amendment mean he wants a speedy and impartial trial? Bring it the fuck on.

Re: Trump tweets -- he has no fing idea what the elements of fraud are, let alone treason. God, the stupid, it burns.
I am not surprised but yet am still horrified that in his mind anyone who makes negative information about him public is commiting treason. That is not how this works.
I am not surprised but demoralized that the talking point that the whistleblowers report about the conversation was full of falsities is being accepted among certain people even though the transcript and other info we have learned are consistent with it.
I am not surprised yet so angry that not one freaking GOP member of Congress will stand up and say enough. Not even support impeachment, just stand up and say that in this country criticizing or making the President look bad is not treason.
I read 2 books relating to the Obama era this week. One was called To Obama and was all about the mailroom in the White House and how Obama read 10 letters a day from the public. (I really liked this one -- highly recommend.) The other was a memoir from a stenographer during Obama called in the Corner of the Oval. I am not going to lie -- I started crying at points in both books because there would be anecdotes that showed how Obama was kind, and truly cared about others, and took his commitment to the country and the Constitution seriously, and it was such a stark contrast to now that I couldn't help but grieve.
Not for nothing, but no one has established that the people who reported their concerns to the whistleblower committed a crime, and baselessly accusing someone of a crime in many places is per se defamation. Just one more thing he will never be held accountable for.
Also: how convenient for him that the attacks that he is engaging in, and the lack of criticism about it from Congress, will make it far less likely any other people will report the wrongdoing of this Administration.
Republican lawmaker denounces Trump’s tweet predicting ‘civil war’ if he’s impeached By Mike Murphy
Published: Sep 29, 2019 11:57 pm ET Rep. Adam Kinzinger calls Trump’s tweet ‘beyond repugnant’
Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger blasted President Donald Trump on Sunday night after the president quoted a Fox News contributor who warned of possible civil war if he is impeached.
The Illinois congressman, who is an Iraq War veteran, was the highest-profile Republican to criticize Trump, who Sunday night tweeted a quote by Pastor Robert Jeffress earlier in the day on Fox News: “If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal.”
Trump actually misquoted Jeffress, who said on Fox News: “I’m afraid it will cause a Civil War-like fracture.”
Kinzinger was outraged by Trump’s tweet. “I have visited nations ravaged by civil war. @realdonaldtrump I have never imagined such a quote to be repeated by a President. This is beyond repugnant,” he said.
Many on social media expressed similar concerns, and said Trump’s tweet was dangerous, tantamount to threatening violence if he is impeached.
Trump spent much of his day tweeting about the impeachment proceedings, claiming he’s been framed, lashing out at the whistleblower and calling for Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff to be investigated for treason.
Jeffress is a pro-Trump megachurch pastor from Texas with a record of controversial and offensive comments, including calling climate change “imaginary,” calling Mormonism “a cult” and saying Jews will go to hell.
