Thanks all! She is still in the NICU unfortunately. Shes nearly to the point of getting rid of the feeding tube, but her arrhythmia suddenly came back 2 days ago. They've run some tests and diagnosed it as SVT, which is what my MFM thought it might be prior to delivery. We meet with the pediatric cardiologist on Monday, but are hopeful it wont hold her here much longer than she already will be with the feeding stuff. The NICU pediatrician said most likely they'll start her on medication to regulate her heartrate and monitor. As long as it works and she tolerates it, she'll go home on it and we'll follow up with cardiology as needed.
I’ve been keeping her and you in my prayers. I hope she responds well to the meds! I hope you’re doing okay too. It’s hard to have a baby in the NICU.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
After meeting with the pediatric cardiologist, he diagnosed her with a rarer form of SVT, called junctional tachycardia. He said for now, since she is doing well and her heartrate is on the lower end of JT hes doesnt think she needs medication just yet. We'll follow up with him in 2 weeks and just go from there. Because he decided she didnt need meds, we got discharged last night! I wasnt expecting it at all, but so so thankful to be home with her and DS together finally tonight.
I'm just so happy to have an answer to her arrhythmia fianlly and a plan in place. And just as happy to be out of the hospital and home!
