I am thisclose to finishing my first project in nearly a year. We'll see if it gets done before the end of the month. Nothing major, just a colorwork hat, but still...
I got inspired to finally complete this from my wish list after seeing fall decor at Michael’s. It is huge, way bigger than expected, but I took care of a lot of corks we had saved!
I just sewed up the side seams on my Halloween dress. I realized I made an almost identical dress like 4/5 years ago and I hated the way it turned out, literally never wore it again. But I have now remade it and it's really highlighted how much more I know now. It's sleeveless, princess seams on the bodice, pleated skirt, invisible zipper, pockets, and I did some significant alterations on the pattern myself. I am SO SO much happier with version number 2. I still need to hem it, which I'll do tomorrow night, and the lining needs to be sewn down.
Also made soap with my neighbor. She wanted to make it for gifts so I went ahead and made this for another friend. I don't think I've ever mentioned that I started making soap here. I'll get a picture of the inside at some point.

I made DD a black fuzzy fleece hoodie dress quickly on Tuesday so she could be a black cat for skating and warm enough for Halloween. She’s wearing it over a puffy jacket in this photo so it looks a bit stuffed.
I also finished this quilt for a friend’s baby. I made the top a couple of years ago from scraps.
This year has been terrible production wise since I developed pretty vicious carpal tunnel while pregnant and we also sold our house and built a new one. Now that DS is 5 weeks old my left hand is 100% and my right hand is like 80%. I feel terrible that I made nothing for him as compared to DD but she didn’t give me carpal tunnel so I guess that’s fair!

I finished them at 7:50 am on Halloween. Sonic and Tails. Kids were thrilled. It was 37 degrees when we were trick or treating and they were warm. Which is my goal.
shortcake2675 those are amazing and I would have died for the Tails costume as a 10 yo myself. Good work. I hope you were able to take a nap!
Thanks!
Got a couple of hours and crashed at 8 pm that night once we were home. I’ve already told Leila I’d make her a Tails costume any time. She has already said she wants to wear it next year. I was looking at the fit and I may have to make another hoodie. I should have sized up again, but it looked huge. Always the case.

If she tends to grow up you could probably get away with adding cuffs and a waistband for length next year. That would make the hoodie longer. It looks like it has enough space width wise.
I finished this quilt for my niece. I gave it to her for her bat mitzvah. The blocks are made from her grandfather's shirts (he died when she was 5 months old.)
This is me as Princess Poppy. I made the dress and the wig/headband. The wig is made from tulle and a crochet headband. There is a balloon inside it to hold it up. It was a huge hit at my kids' school Halloween fundraiser.

I have cuffs and the waistband cut! But she didn’t want them after I ran out of time to get them on that morning.
I was going to start a November thread, but I think we just continue this one. I started hand towels for my mom and dad on my moms old loom. I think I'm in love, the first 6" looks amazing, dispite the 2 mistakes I'm not going to correct. I think im hooked on weaving. Damnit, I don't really need any more hobbies.

The Balloon is such a GREAT idea, I have tried to make Poppy Hair before, and it has been a fail. I will remember the hair trick for the next time/ next year at Trolls2
