For anyone near a Vera Bradley outlet. The outlet closest to me was 70% off everything. I got DD a blanket regular $80 for around $20. I also got her a hanging make up organizer. I bought a second blanket for the giving tree recipient that we have this year, an 18 year old girl. Vera Bradley anything is big with the teen/preteen set here.
Bath and Body had all their soaps half off this weekend so I got them for my coworkers. I also got a free body wash with a coupon that I am going to put in DD's stocking. She loves any smell good stuff. She told me today she was traumatized by sitting next to a kid with really powerful BO in class and is now terrified she would be the smelly kid. Body spray, lotion, shower gel, she wants it all.
Ugh on the LOL dolls. But I the rest of her list is short, expensive, or just plain crazy. American Girl Ashlyn doll, LOL, Fingerlings, Skateboard, DOG.
DS would like a present for Christmas. When I beg for details, a pink one. And then also a dog.
At some point, I'm going to tell them they need to be more specific and tell DH they want a Frenchie. Because that is the only kind *he* likes AND would get, and he's the obstacle. (He really wants a "man eating German shepard", but he knows that's not happening)
Crate and Barrel seems to have a lot of stuff on sales and free shipping. I got my BFF the ike tray thing she has had her eye on for her b-day next month. Since we live in different state it is sometimes a lot easier to just ship big heavier things directly.

Doesn’t someone here have a digital lock? I want one. Not a fancy, unlock with your phone, interact with household automation one (I have no household automation and don’t intend to get any) but one that can store and change codes. I can set one for family, one for the house cleaner, etc. This is my very exciting holiday sale goal.

All 4 of us have Vera Bradley blankets and we love them! My mom originally got them for DD and me, then she found out how much DH and DS loved them and got them each one the next year.
Any recommendations for a 4 year old bicycle or a 7 year old skateboard?
So when DD1 turned 3, we got her a Specialized bike. She rode it with and without training wheels, almost daily for 3 seasons and maybe 1-2x a week in winter, until age 6. Then DD2 took it over at age 3, and has ridden with the same frequency. It’s finally too small, but still in great shape despite a few crashes 😳. We are going to get both kids new Specialized for Christmas this year. They’re $$$ unless you find a good sale, but totally worth it and resell well.

We are the opposite. We did not have good luck with Specialized. I am sure it is more my son's motor and balance issues than the actual bike. But I am bitter we spent that much money and he can't ride it, and now he has outgrown it. I know they have a trade in special where you get money off a new bike.
We ended up with a Schwinn for DD, and it worked out perfectly. We got it from Dick's sporting goods because DH is against Target/ Walmart bikes, and Dick's put it together for us. Personally I am OK with them, and also garage sale bike type stuff might be your best deal. Especially because the nice bike store bike didn't work for us at all. Again probably because of my son, and not the bike but you know bitter about it. Actually the bike issue is what led us to PT and OT and the ortho, so I suppose it all worked out, but he still can't ride it, and I don't know what to do with this specialized bike. I don't want to trade it in and spend more $$$ on another bike he can't ride. maybe I can sell it online?

I so want one of these!
We had one at our last house. It was about $100 at Home Depot. We are renters now and miss it! It wasn’t terribly difficult to change the codes (when we stopped using the housekeeper).
waverly - I’m glad to hear that you like the Schwinn from Dick’s. If I can’t find what we want for DD2, or we think she will outgrow it too quickly, an Schwinn from Dicks was my next thought. But I bought myself a Schwinn from Target (because I ride so infrequently that I didn’t need something really nice - just a cruiser) and it’s the biggest piece of garbage. The gears have never worked right and they slip constantly while I’m riding. I had them adjusted at a nice bike shop, but they slipped again almost immediately.
DD1 rides constantly, so I want her to have a really good bike that will last and be handed down to DD2 when the time is right. But I’m wavering on the other one. Now I will check out Dicks. 😊

We just bought our 8 year old a nice skateboard at Zumiez... it was like $80, but my 10 year old also recently bought herself a skateboard at Target that seems okay for $20.
Personally for the 4 year old bike I’d go with cheap from Walmart or Target because they outgrow them in like a year at that age. Nicer bike around 8 or 9 because that’s when they finally start to last longer than a year.
k3am I think DD (7) has the same one that sandandsea posted. She did skate camp at our Y this summer and was one of the few kids who didn’t have a wooden board, but it seemed to be a good beginner board and the counselors said it was fine.
I just ordered an Instapot from Target - it was $99, marked down to $49, then 5% off that using my card. I ordered 2 so that I could give one to my SIL, and I got a coupon for another 20% off my entire order to be used between 12/3 and 12/14.

It's actually an extra 15% off too! I think i might get one!
