What a messy way to come back to work after a four-day holiday! Thankfully DH took the initiative to do some shoveling last night so we had a relatively thin layer to clear this morning. Technically I could've just driven my car over it, but I'm afraid of it potentially icing over later. It's all wet, slushy stuff but not much accumulation.
We also caved and finally invested in a snow thrower over the weekend. Of course, we missed the same-day delivery window but hopefully it arrives today.
Hi RockNVoll! We got mostly rain yesterday, but the snow is still coming down today. S is playing in it, she'll go out again today when J plows the driveway
She had a snow day, J stayed home, and my MIL delayed her post-holiday departure, so we have a full house! I'm hunkered down in my office
Given your previous MIL stories, drloretta, I will keep my fingers crossed for you that MIL can leave soon
The snow thrower makes life so much better! DH used it for the first time this morning and it's amazing not to be exhausted from shoveling repeatedly. Worth every penny. We're both working from home today and I was so happy to sleep in a little after staying up too late doing last-minute Cyber Monday shopping

Hey! How are you all? We got about 6” I think. School was cancelled. We went sledding. Dave used the snow blower on the driveway pretty early and we got more snow on it but it was pretty easy to drive over. Caleb didn’t have winter gloves so we went to target. Target was deserted. I’ve never seen it so empty. Our friend from Germany was visiting and flew out last evening. Luckily her flight wasn’t delayed.
That doesn't sound too bad, liveintheville . And I can't imagine an empty Target!
It was surreal! My German friend was so excited about the snow. She hasn’t had snow in many years.
Ha, a London friend who's a Seattle expat told me she was jealous of our snow and I was like, "Why?!" It's no fun unless you're skiing or boarding down it, LOL.
