And also why did you have to pick this title? If you had to post, why couldn't you just say Howard Stern interviews Hillary Clinton?
Something tells me she was expecting a verrry different response. One where we all laugh at her cutesy language and thank her for sharing this delightful interview.
I think it’s bothering me even more because I don’t even like Clinton like that, lol. I mean I voted for her and think she would’ve done well as president, but I’m not fan girling seeking out her interviews, especially not ones from damn Howard Stern!. Now Michelle Obama on the other hand...and Gabrielle Union are my 2 fav girl crushes.
it’s been really difficult for me to come to grips with my changing feelings towards her, over the last year or so.
Just in the last year though? What in the last year has made you waver on her?[/quote]
Well, I was a kid when Bill was President, I was born in 82. I always just assumed he had an affair with Monica, and that wasn’t my business. I wasn’t aware of the really shitty things that Hillary said about Monica when all of that was going on. And I never really thought about the power dynamics between a President and an intern. I’ve always been a huge fan of Hillary and was 100% behind her in 2016. Then when #metoo started to become a thing, I had to really stop and examine how my feelings around sexual harassment, assault, etc, could jive with Hillary being married to Bill, who is a problematic guy. When the whole “ask your abuela” campaign started in 2016, I was shocked. I recently graduated from the Emerge program, that trains women to run for office. When I think about my future, I hope to avoid some of the mis—steps that I’ve watched her make. But I was honestly pretty blind to it, for too long. When I see her going on Howard Stern, it’s such a huge turnoff for me, and it makes me wonder if I was just naive the entire time about who she really is? I was such a staunch defender for so long.

I’m so confused by your response. I am slightly younger and absolutely became aware at least 4-5+ years ago of the comments she made at that time (and then even later).
Also, what is your issue with her making the decision to remain married to Bill?
I mean, not the last 12 months exactly. Just, recently. I used to like her a lot and really since 2017 have found myself liking her less and less. I can see what’s problematic about her, that I never saw before. It’s like when I became an adult and realized my Mom isn’t 100% perfect. She’s a flawed person, just like the rest of us.
I don’t mind at all that she’s stayed married to Bill. That’s their marriage and has nothing to do with me. But it’s one thing for Bill to have affairs. It’s an entirely different thing for Hillary to throw his mistresses under the bus. Like I said, I wasn’t aware of any of that when I was younger. And it bothers me.
She should be President right now, and I still like her very much. If I had the chance to spend a day with her, I still would jump at the chance. But I see her mis-steps, and they bother me. She’s too smart to be going on Howard Stern’s show. This is a big miss for me.

I appreciate your honesty.
I actually (still) don’t know what she said about Monica Lewinsky so that’s not why I don’t like her. Shrug.
As far as your comment about "she’s too smart to be going on Howard Stern," well have you ever heard the phrase "when people show you who they really are, believe them?" I think she definitely falls under that category. People need to stop defending her.

Funny...I grew up watching Oprah every day. For way too long, I would say “Oprah has this saying, when people tell you who they are, believe them”, and I didn’t realize until probably 5 years ago, that it’s a Maya Angelou quote, that Oprah repeated often 😂

I had the same situation but my Oprah/Maya Angelou quote was - you do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.
