Auckland recs?

Any recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Auckland, New Zealand?

If my inbound flights go as planned (fingers crossed), I’ll have about a day in Auckland before my outbound flight. I don’t want to do anything too involved, since it’s just a logistical stopover. But I’ll need to eat, sleep, and keep myself busy during that time.

For activities, you can walk up Mount Eden for amazing views. Or you can take the ferry to Devonport (for the beach) or Waiheke Island (wine tasting, bike riding, beaches.)

We stayed at the M Social and it was right on the water, which was great. None of our meals really impressed us (I regret not eating more Asian food), but if you’re into beer, Brothers Brewery is worth checking out.
