We are booking a 6 day trip through Costco travel. Right now we can choose from BoardWalk Inn, Saratoga Springs, Caribbean Beach Resort and All Star Sports. Most important things to us are good pools, ease of transportation to/from parks and decent on site food. It will be myself, DH and 5.5 y.o. DD. DH and I have been to the parks once many many years ago, DD has never been. This will likely be our only trip. Thoughts?
We stayed at SS a few years ago and I wouldn't stay there again. I thought it took way too long to get to and from the parks - I think one of the nights it took us like 90 minutes. I can't comment on the others because I haven't stayed there.

What is the price difference? Of those, my first choice would be Boardwalk and then Caribbean and Saratoga would be a tie. Boardwalk is walkable to Hollywood Studios and Epcot and you've got dining options at Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club, the Swan and Dolphin all in walking distance. Pool is good and it's a Deluxe resort. Saratoga is also deluxe and has a few pool options. You'll be close to Disney Springs (walk or boat) so lots of food options. The resort is pretty spread out though and rooms can be far from the action. Caribbean Beach is a moderate resort but it's on the Skyliner if that interests you. In theory "closer to the action" than Saratoga. Rooms are okay but ready for an upgrade (I've heard this about Saratoga as well though). All Star I would only consider if you are price sensitive, which it sounds like you aren't given the list of resorts you're considering.
We haven't stayed at Boardwalk yet, but that is where I want to stay next time we go. We stayed at Beach Club last year, which is right across the water, and I just loved how convenient it was to walk into the World Showcase. I also felt like it was just so convenient to get to all the other parks - nothing seemed like a very far bus ride (or boat ride to HS).

We've stayed at Caribbean Beach. It was very nice, and had quiet pools near each building, and then a large main pool with slide. There was also a nice splash pad area for younger kids. When we stayed, the only Disney transportation option was the buses, which were packed at times, so much so that they didn't make all the stops around the resort.
We are renting DVC at Boardwalk for our next trip, mainly for proximity to Epcot and HS. (HS will be around a 15-20 minute walk, but that's faster than a bus (once you count waiting time) and our kids are old enough to walk it.) I'm not super excited about the giant clown face on the water slide, but I'll try to get past it. DH's cousin and his wife recently stayed at Boardwalk and loved it.

What is the room category for Saratoga Springs? That is a DVC resort so if it is for a 1 bedroom or larger, you will a full kitchen and laundry in the room. You will also be close to Disney Springs which has a ton of food options.
