We're going to Orlando Sept 5-12. I have put together a spreadsheet from a bunch of different crowd calendars to try to pick which park to go to which day b/c we're not doing hoppers. I don't know flight times yet, so I don't know when we're coming/going on those days, so I'm not relying on the Saturday days as park days. Kids will be 8 & 10, and DH is into Star Wars. We "think" we'll want to do 2 days at both MK and HS, and 1 each of the other two. My tentative schedule is:
Sun-AK Mon-HS Tues-MK Wed-HS Thur-E Fri-MK
BUT, here is the issue. We're staying offsite at a Hilton property and three of those nights are one of those timeshare deal things. So...I'm trying to figure out how to book the timeshare nights in order to set up the presentation thing we have to do. It cannot be done on the first or last day of the booking, however, I can always book nights before/after with my own money/points.
What I'm trying to decide is which day would be best to book it, because the times start at 8:30am and go until 1:45pm (2 hour presentation). I'm thinking we'll need a break mid week? So maybe book it for Wed am? But then that all but guarantees no ROTR (and no guarantee we got on it on Monday which is Labor Day).
Obviously the above schedule isn't set in stone. Which park we do what day is flexible (until we book the FP I guess?).
So, which day would you think we'd want to take a break? We obviously COULD still go to the park after the presentation OR we could do park/presentation/back to the park. OR we could just do presentation/pool day.
I also considered doing the presentation on the front end, during the "busier" days of the parks (Sunday or Labor Day) but then thought of how the parks get more crowded as the day goes on, and we won't really want to take a "break" the second day of our trip.

Can you push it back while you're there if you need to? If you can, I would book for like 11 on Wednesday and if you don't get ROTR on Monday you can push it back to Thursday. If you can't, I'd just book it for Thursday. I think you can see most of Epcot if you arrive at 11 (assumes 8:30-10:30 timeshare thing).
I think I would do it Monday first thing in the morning. B/c you have two days at HS, b/c Monday is a holiday and probably crowded anyway. You could do your main HS Star Wars things the second day. I would also personally like to know i got it out of the way earlier in the trip.
You would still get a good chunk of the day at the park after the presentation.

Time, yes. Day, only by a day.
The deal was we get three nights for $199, then after the presentation, get that amount credited back to my CC, a $200 voucher for a one night stay at any Hilton in the US, and 50k HH points.
I'm usually not one to do these things, but when they called I knew we were already going to Orlando for this trip and negotiated the extra stuff (they usually start at the $199 part). That's all worth two hours to me. No way in hell would I ever buy a timeshare though. I "churn" cc for points and haven't paid for a hotel room since 2015.
