Disneyland - Galaxy's Edge

We are headed to L.A. for spring break and my brother wants to go to Galaxy's Edge while we're visiting.  We went to WDW this past Feb - my question is whether or not it makes sense to bring our Magic Bands?

We dont use magic bands in California.

Be prepared to get to the park at least 30 minutes prior to opening if you want to ride ROTR. It opens next week and they will be using the same boarding group system that they use in WDW.

Disneyland and WDW have different fast passes systems, and Disneyland’s system does not use magic bands. They have either regular fast passes that you get at kiosks, or maxpass that you book on the app. Maxpass is $15 pp per day and IMO totally worth it. However not all rides at Disneyland have fastpass (Fastpass isn’t currently available for Galaxy’s Edge, for example) so you’ll have to decide if spending more for maxpass is worth it for you.
