I was induced on Thursday at 38 weeks. My BP has been elevated, but I wasn’t on any medication. After about 10 hours on pitocin, it was time to push. Pushing her out was rather quick, however, she was larger than anticipated. She got hung up very briefly and so she has a shoulder dystocia which I’m told should resolve with physical therapy. It was a scary minute or two—my nurse literally jumped on my bed and on top of me to assist. Baby is 9lbs 3 oz. They had to test her blood sugars because of her large size, but thankfully they were all normal. I had several significant high blood pressures during delivery and now I’m on medication. I’m concerned about her shoulder, but hopeful for a full recovery as she does have some movement. She’s very sweet and very hungry all the time. PDQ pic.

Congrats! I was also induced at 38 weeks because of high blood pressure. It resolved quickly, but it spiked again, likely because I am having trouble getting rid of all the extra fluid. Hope your BP and her shoulder resolves quickly and smoothly!
