I had originally set my goal at 40 when I thought I'd be busy with a graduate class but since I dropped it, I upped my reading goal to 80. I'd like to surpass that goal. We'll see.
I read: 1. Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson: 5 stars 2. The Gifted School by Bruce Holsinger: 2 stars. I really don’t get the hype about this book. 3. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Bachman: 5 stars 4. Divergent by Veronica Roth: 4 stars 5. Faker by Sarah Smith: 1 Star. I should have quit this book but it was so dumb, cheesy and predictable I had to keep going. 6. My Sister, The Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite: 4 stars 7. The Institute by Stephen King: 4 stars 8. Keeping Lucy by T. Greenwood: 5 stars 8/75
My favorites were Just Mercy, A Man Called Ove, and Keeping Lucy.
I started the year strong! The Tana French books slowed me down at the end because they are really long and the dialect in parts but I read a nice even 20. I’ve already finished 2 this month. No real goal for 2020. Last year I read 239 so maybe I’ll try to beat that.

The Body in Question by Jill Ciment (all of her books are so odd and downers. I can’t decide if I like them or not)

My goal is always 200 which I've managed to hit for as long as I've been keeping track, but one of these years I'd like to hit 240 (20 books per month). I always seem to slow down in the fall with my reading, so haven't made it there yet. I've started strong this year with 27 in January- maybe this year will be the year!
