How's everyone's progress going during hibernation season?
I finally got my 25 lb loss after 11 months of plugging away at it! I rewarded myself with a new pair of slip-on tennis shoes to keep under my desk at work. I've had a hard time hitting my step goal since I've gotten so busy at work. That's my goal for the month -- 11,000 steps per day.
I'm down about 8 pounds since I started last month. The Super bowl party was a bit of a challenge but I mostly stuck to my pre-planned choices. I'm still struggling to find better on-the-go options. While I cook a lot more now there are just days I need something I can grab with the kids.
It was not the biggest weight loss month. But I am nearing the end. Total -68.4 for 11 months. I am trying for 5-10 with no rush. If it happens it happens. The scale is not going to dictate my goals. 🏋️♀️💪

Well, I put on 20lbs since October when I was hospitalized and apparently lost my damn mind and ate everything in site. So.....I joined the GBCN diet bet and lost 10lbs the first week LOL In fairness, I'm quite overweight so always tend to have a big drop the first 10-14 days and then as long as I stick to it, it levels off to a nice 1-2lb per week average. Of course, I celebrated by eating all the food at a SB party last night and avoided the scale this morning like the plague.
I do need to get motivated to start moving. I have a gym in my office building and need to start working out again on my lunch break. I was doing to good in the fall and then...I wasn't.
I am still floundering. Really frustrating. I'm trying to add a bit more cardio in to see if that helps. I'm also being really mindful of my mood/eating connection. It's such a bad feeling to see how it ties together. I have so many friends that don't eat when they are anxious and stressed and I am the complete opposite. I just keep shoveling it in. It makes sense because of my childhood association of food = comfort (my mom was an amazing cook, family was always centered around big, delicious meal). I wish I could crack that habit.
I hope it's okay that I still post in here since I am trying to slowly go into maintenance mode. Which to me is a challenge. I don't want to slip back but I am having no issue sticking with WW style of eating which is just more of a lifestyle change.

Thanks everyone. Good luck on your journey!
Of course! I've heard many people say maintenance is harder than losing in some ways. Good luck, you look great!

I'm down 7lbs for the month. That's not great, but I've been struggling mightily with a mental block of, "Oh, just a handful here and there won't hurt anything." It hurts EVERYTHING, self!
So I've been working on honesty in tracking. If I take a handful, I try to measure it. If I can't measure it, I track 1 serving. It seems to be working, and I'm getting more conscious of what I'm taking.

7 pounds is pretty good for a month. Well within in the 1-2 pounds per week WW suggests is normally sustainable loss. I know there is often a big loss at first but it usually slows down.

I'm down 9lbs since 1/6, and I'm wearing a pair of pants today that didn't fit at the beginning of the January! My overall goal is to lose around 30lbs. I've been consistently logging everything I eat on MFP, and am doing strength training.
I was really good last week. Minimal snacking. Making better choices and working out. Finally started seeing movement on the scale. Decided I would try a "be really strict M-Thurs" and loosen things up a bit on the weekends.
Yeah...that won't work. I was still good most of the weekend, but last night I had a couple drinks and some superbowl snacks. I was up 4 pounds this morning. WTF?! I know a lot of it is probably water weight, but still. UGH. Back to being strict, but I'm worried if I'm too strict all the time it won't be sustainable.

I've lost 5 lbs since 1/1 and am pretty happy. I've committed to the 100 morning meltdown program on beach body on demand and I really like it. I am working out 5 days a week. Goal is 20 lbs loss, stretch goal 25 lbs.
I am down 5.2 lbs and 8.5 inches since starting a boot camp challenge on January 20th with DH, my 2 BFFs, and DH's BFF. My clothes are fitting so much better including some pants I haven't worn in years. Really hoping we can find a way to afford to keep going after the challenge ends March 14th. For the first time in my life I am actually looking forward to working out every day because I love the challenge and variety each workout provides.

I'm down 14lbs since 1/6 on Whole 30. My 40th birthday is in 10 days...I would LOVE to be 175 by then which is 5.5lbs. I need to kick my workouts up a major notch.
@mrasandro you looks awesome!!! I hit my lowest point on Saturday at just under 10lbs lost! Of course I’m back up a couple today after snacks yesterday but I know in the past I would have eaten SO much more on SB Sunday than I did yesterday. I have 5 more lbs to lose before my second goal and then about 5 after that. I hit my first goal this weekend and got to treat myself to a new book.

Don't get discouraged! I am 100% sure your weight gain is not fat, but water weight. Here is a really good article about weight fluctuations and losing fat vs. losing weight that really helped me not get so panicked when I wake up in the morning and it looks like I've gained weight.

You look GREAT! What workout are you doing?
Per week:
3 x Zumba 1 x P90x 1 x Strength Training Class 1 x PT (mainly strength training but lifting heavy)

This is quite literally how I’ve always done WW. The last time I did it I lost 65 pounds, but 3 kids later I’ve gained it all back plus some. I’m back at square one, but doing it only on weekdays averaged 1-2 pounds a week loss for me. I also worked out 3 times per week, which I’m not doing this time (yet).

Have you tried any intuitive eating principles? I'm the same way -- too strict and I just bottom out. I firmly believe that sometimes you have to honor your cravings, just not every time! What's worked for me recently is to set a 20 minute timer on my watch when a craving hits. If I still want the thing when the timer goes off, I'll have it. But honestly I usually forget all about it or I have time to think about a better alternative.
I've been in a holding pattern the last 3 weeks. I haven't gained which is good. My trainer switched up my macros this week so maybe that will help.
I got up this morning w/ H and did a quick workout, and I'm scheduled to do lower body strength tonight. Tuesday is a ride on the bike, Wednesday is upper body strength, HIIT on Thursdays, then whatever torture she wants to put me through on Fridays. I like the schedule, and if I need to move things around, I have recovery days on Sat/Sun that I can swap with a day during the week if I need to.

I started back to WWers early November and I’m down 11 pounds. I have four more to go. I’ve been trying to lose these last four awhile now and I really hope I still go to meetings when I’m maintaining. It helps so much
I did not do good last week. I didn’t meal plan and that hurt me. I was down 4.5 lbs for the first 3 weeks and gained a 1 back last week for 3.5 lbs lost. Back to meal planning this week and I have to stay away from chocolate. I did a decent job working out just didn’t eat as well.

Hope it's okay if I join in :-P Not doing WW but just trying to get healthier and keep it up this year!
I'm doing the Dietbet, and so far, I already lost 3 pounds since it started so I'm happy about that! I was able to resist having wine last night, but did have a small piece of cake so I thought that was a good balance! I signed up to get lunch delivered daily - it's all vegetarian and healthy, so I'm eating better than before. Overall, just trying to be good during the week and then splurge a bit on the weekends.
I've been good about getting to the gym every morning. I also teach Zumba once a week and have added a yoga class into my workout schedule. Now I need to put together a strength training routine and I think the weight will come off a bit faster!

I haven't, but I'm going to read up about it. Thanks!
