We need new window treatments and plan to go with bamboo shades. I like the look of white curtains paired with them but we need a lot of curtain panels to do this. Does anyone have suggestions that look great but are budget conscious? I have pictures for my inspiration (Not sure how to post them here) but I can’t swing $100 a panel right now for the amount we need.
ETA: ok I switched to desktop view and posted pictures below
That’s the look I have in my living room and I got my curtains from jcpenney. For some reason I can’t copy/paste the link but here’s a pic of the ones I have and one of them in my room.
I have white Ikea Merete curtains on all my windows. They are grommet top though. Not sure if thats your style but I love them and they are only $30 for the pair. They were super easy to hem to the exact length needed. However they shrunk about 2” when washed but went back to the correct length after I steamed them. I recommend washing before hemming.
I have white curtains and bamboo shades as well. We live in an old house with high ceilings. Ours are ikea - they are great and very long to accommodate the high ceilings. I love them.
I’ve actually had good luck with inexpensive curtains from random Amazon sellers. We got some blackout and room darkening curtains for the kids’ bedrooms and our master, and I have zero complaints. I also got a set of more sheer curtains for our dining room that are pretty decent too.
Costco had some good curtains recently too. Not sure if it’s something they regularly stock though and they had just a few colors in the same size.
ETA: found a couple pics on my phone (rods are NMS but were left by previous owner and are waaaay down on the list of things to upgrade)
I've always had great luck at JC Penney. I've also recently gotten some curtains from Amazon and have been very happy, but you need to read the reviews and look at the pictures that the buyers post because sometimes they look a lot different than the listing photo.
I came in here to say IKEA, even before I saw others suggest it. They have a ton of great curtains for great prices. I also like that they have a variety of tops (grommet, rod pocket, tab top, etc) and lengths.
Wayfair does business with the border camps. Broke my heart because they were one of my go tos, but I cannot morally support them with my money.
Oh geez, I had no idea!!! I will no longer be purchasing from them. Unfortunately, these curtains were purchased over a year ago and cannot be returned. I'll donate them to someone in need in my community instead.
Yep, this is what we have. LOVE them. We've had ours for a few years and they've survived several washes. I only needed 5 panels and have an extra so I washed it, bleached it and dried it on low in the dryer and it was totally fine (it says not to bleach, but I do without issue). So I bleach them every 6 months or so. They do shrink A LOT. So if you want to get them hemmed, wash and dry them first.

Ok for all of you that suggested IKEA curtains - did you use a curtain rod from there or buy elsewhere. I don't see a lot of hardware options there but they are cheap!

Yes, Ikea rods are my fave because they are easy to install and you can buy exactly the pieces you need (and cheap).

For a larger window, I add extra "betydligs" for center support. ETA: I buy everything in black.
Great thanks! I’d have to go with white because black wouldn’t look right. I’m going to look around for pictures on blogs because maybe I’m wrong but it doesn’t seem like I see people using white rods a lot.
