I just saw a post on Facebook from a Trump supporter (friend of a friend, I don’t allow that shit into my life), asking why Dems aren’t more interested in Tulsi. One of the reasons he (because of course it was a he) listed was that she’s beautiful.
I CANNOT. I’m just done with 2020. Burn it all the way down.

I think Mayor Pete will do well again tomorrow. I keep telling myself NV and SC matter more for the February elections, so those results will count more for me, but I can’t help but wonder if winning or getting close to winning these two unrepresentative states will actually propel Pete to the nomination. I feel like (collective) we are all so anxious to get behind one candidate as quickly as possible that we may end up not necessarily voting for our favorite but for whoever is looking most likely to win, so the initial surge may end up sealing the deal like I was hoping it wouldn’t. I guess we will see.

I will cop to this. I vote on super Tuesday and I want to vote for Klobuchar (want as in best of those still in the race, she was not my actual top choice). I'm debating voting for her, Warren (my second choice) if she is doing well, or Pete if he looks the most likely to beat Sanders.

Yes. This is why I hate with the fiery heat of 10,000 suns the outsized place IA and NH have in our primary process. They shouldn't be bellwethers. But they are. Because they become self-fulfilling prophecies.
I did some texting for Warren over the weekend. I've sent thousands of texts ( to IA, NH, UT, CA, AL, NC from what I can remember), and this is the first time I've had people telling me that Bloomberg is their first choice. Mostly from UT.
But even more people are telling me they're supporting Bernie or Trump. Still not getting many telling me their for Pete.

I feel like last go around NH was Bernie territory with its proximity to VT? I am watching the last couple of seasons of Homeland, the last episode I watched last night was so eerie about its BOTs and fake news. Really not a good idea. I should save it for post-election. Given we're in the primaries, seeing that episode really didn't help my sleep much.
H and I are voting in Super Tuesday and still undecided. I'm leaning towards Klobuchar and trying to convince H to vote with me.
But overall I'm feeling pretty pessimistic about our prospects in November. It's rough. I feel like all this infighting is just distracting from beating Trump. I know the primary process is necessary, but I just wish there was a clear wonderful candidate we could all rally behind.

I think Sanders and Pete will do well in NH but once we start getting into the West and South? I think Biden will pick up steam in the South.
This primary is going to be the death of me though. I know that I have a soft spot for Pete, but I am so tired of the lies out there. My Sanders friends were pushing Pete's statement about mandatory national service hard yesterday. Translating it into mandatory military service (even though he specifically said it would NOT involved a draft) and ignoring the fact that national service can mean a billion things other than military. Even in the US the Peace corps and Ameriacorps are all considered national service.
Not saying I am for or against it, just annoyed with the narratives.

Has anyone seen anything about Sanders’ medical records release refusal? Last fall, prior to his HEART ATTACK: Bernie Sanders promised to release his medical records before a single vote was cast. He now refuses & claims that the three letters he produced from his (hand-picked) doctors are sufficient. He’s looking rough, & it scares the crap outta me that this is paving the path for a #45 victory. For several reasons.

Bernie did win NH in 2016. The thing is, Vermont and New Hampshire are REALLY different states. And technically, NH's largest media market is Boston, which covered the southern part of the state (where most of the population is) up into the Manchester area. And lots of people who live in suburban Manchester or just over the NH border work in MA but live in NH because of the lower cost of living (i.e. housing costs) and slightly lower tax burden.
That said, Warren should do well on paper, because as a senator from MA she gets a lot of media coverage and did when she was running for her seat both times too, but she might finish a distant third, or even fourth, which concerns me. She seems to be liked well-enough in MA and just won reelection last year...

I'm thinking maybe the opposite? It's all in how you view it and how things shake out. We had a pretty clear candidate last time, with one annoying opposition candidate. There was less vetting as it were in the primary than there was in 2008, and I think that maybe didn't go well for us? Of course, any time someone tries to vet a candidate now by raising legitimate concerns, which the GOP will most certainly use against us, we get the whole, "you're just being divisive" rhetoric.
There’s a bunch of “Dems in disarray” articles out today since we’re all brand new to this process every 4 years.
I dont care for her, but I think she will do better than Pete when it comes to Super Tuesday and beyond.
She isn’t my favorite politician ever but I don’t need that. She is the best comparatively to the others in the race though. Warren will be my backup choice, but I vote on Super Tuesday I think.
ETA: To be clear, I knew I voted on March 3 but wasn’t clear if that was considered Super Tuesday.
I am not as politically savvy as most here, so I could be way off base, but all this Amy support makes me anxious, since it seems like this largely takes votes away from Warren. I know primary season is the time to vote for who you truly want, but I just don’t see Amy getting the nom and I worry it will leave us with one of the shouty old men.
Over the weekend, Yang made some comments about abortion that have gone over like a lead balloon outside of the Yang Gang (although I've seen more than a few Republicans applaud him).
@andrewsolender: "Yang on late-term abortions #OurRightsOurCourts: “We have to get back to the point where nobody should be celebrating abortion... it’s a tragedy, to me, if someone decides they don’t want to have a child... celebrating children, family, these are universal human values”

I know voters don't pay attention but aren't Amy and Warren's platforms as different as Bernie and Biden's? I tend to think that Amy pulls from Biden or Pete versus Warren.
Yes, Amy is much more moderate, but there are 3 people on this page alone who say Amy and Warren are their top 2. I am all in for Warren, but Amy would be my 2nd pick of the top 5 if I had to choose. So that makes 4, ha.

I worry about Amy's relative lack of vetting. We already know of *some* skeletons in her closet, even if they may be largely misogynistic in nature, but we really don't have a lot else on her.

So that's my anecdotal contribution. Lol.
I've texted for her quite a bit. I had a TON of Warren supporters this weekend, which was so refreshing!
Also got a couple Yang supporters, which was new.
And a Bernie supporter told me he had a big penis, which definitely seems false.

I want to like her, but I cannot get past the tales of abusing her staff.
Especially when there is a highly competent, kind, and respectful woman in the race.

Amy would be my 2nd pick as well, even though Bernie more closely aligns with my political stance. I don't think I need to go over the reasons I wouldn't vote for him in the primary, as they've been listed ad nauseam.
