If you’re open to some light/non-catty reality TV, I’ve gotten into the Cheer series on Netflix. I’m normally not a reality TV person and usually only watch TV while working out, but I like it.
Brooklyn 99 was my favorite. The other ones we watch are Modern Family, Blackish (we stopped watching when it got more serious but that was a few seasons in), Fresh off the Boat, Goldberg's, Schooled, Fuller House. I feel like it took me a while to get into some of them like the Goldberg's.
I like your explanation of people shouting at each other. I never liked those 2 shows either but couldn't figure out why. I feel like there was a whole bunch of shows were the guy is incompetent and the woman is crabby also which is a bit like Everybody Loves Raymond.

Yeah I can't watch TV shows where the dad is essentially a punchline in the family (Goldberg's and Modern Family included)
This isn’t a sitcom, but I loved the show catastrophe. If you like some of the awkward humor on The Office, you might like it. I think it was on amazon.

Yeah there is definitely something cringy moments in them. I might have stopped watching if not for DH.
Schitt’s Creek! I don’t even like sitcoms but I love this show so much. I’m simultaneous watching the final season and rewatching the first season.
I just started this one and it’s cute, but I’m not sold yet. The first episode was really funny, the the next few didn’t do it for me as much.
It took me two tries to get into this show. The first time, I was like WTF am I watching? Then I tried again a year later and fell in love. It’s definitely over the top but that’s kind of the point! The characters are the best ever. And I watched an interview with Daniel Levy and he is essentially David Rose, just on a much less intense scale. For some reason, that made me so happy.
