I really love the monthly wellness threads over on CEP but I never really feel comfortable posting over there since I mostly just lurk and read news stuff. Can we get one going here? Would people be interested in that?
The critical thing in these threads is that they are NOT a place to talk about diet, weight, or weight loss.
I have been working very hard this past 8 months or so (really since that original smash the wellness industry thread) on rejecting diet culture and embracing my body and its abilities where they are now. This board is an amazing source of inspiration, and I thought it would be good to bring this idea over here as well.
It's a great read. I highly recommend it. Also, in case you are concerned, this article isn't saying that being active and enjoying fitness, etc. is a bad thing. It's about diet culture and its toxic pervasiveness, and the idea that you are never good enough as you are.

I think that's a great idea! Working on separating my weight and eating habits from my health and self worth is definitely something I could benefit from.
Thank you for sharing these non-diet articles. In some people, certain foods or food additives can cause unpleasant physical reactions. These physical reactions may lead to anxiety. According to addictionresource.com/addiction-and-rehab-hotlines/vermont-numbers/ it is a very common problem. Healthy eating is important for overall physical and mental health.
