If anyone remembers my car accident, I'm still having a lot of pain. Got a nerve test and a MRI over the past couple of weeks. It turns out that I probably got the nerve test too soon but the pain was excruciating and I was wanting answers so I jumped at the first available appointment. MRI showed no real issue. But I got a referral to ortho. He thinks it is a neurological problem so back to neuro I go. My medical degree is from watching ER, but it looks like PT is the most likely treatment. But it could take 6 fucking months to heal since nerves regenerate slowly.
I'm not sure if anyone else follows cycling but women's Cyclocross is becoming more popular than men's because the races are usually so much better. This year the 1st and the 3rd highest earners of prize money were both women. Their base pay is much lower but at least it's progress.

I have unpacked most of the kitchen stuff. It will have to get packed up again in the not too distant future, when we redo the kitchen, but it feels so good to have the stuff I use in specific spots.
I feel like a dope when trying to dress myself. I was invited to a bachelorette Sunday brunch next month and I’m already worried about what to wear.
I browsed some plus size fashion blogs/IGs I like to see what I can pull together from my existing wardrobe, and I tried on a jeans-blazer-top-booties combo I figured could work. I stared in the mirror and took photos to analyze, and I still can’t decide if it just doesn’t work or if it’s an OK outfit but I just feel/look schlubby.
I also thought that a nice blowout and maybe even a light professional makeup application would give me a confidence boost on the day of. But I have an hourlong drive to the venue and we’re starting the day early so I need to leave my house by 9am as it is, and I doubt there’s a salon open early enough on a Sunday to help me. I guess I can just get my regular cut and a blowout the day before and hope it lasts, and make an extra effort with the makeup.
I’m no good at this. Stuff like this makes me wish human beings had required uniforms. (/s)
I ordered an Erin Condren planner recently, because they were like 35% off. I have discovered that I LOVE the format of teacher-planners, because I can arrange my daily to-do lists by "subject" (house, work, stuff I need to look up on the internet, etc.). The downside is that they often are laid out in such a way that they end in June, so I was looking for something that would carry me through to the end of 2020.
The planner arrived today, and dang, it is the FANCIEST. Way fancier than I even expected. Arrived in a bright, pretty box; it is super shiny on the outside and colorful in and out, and everything right down to the stickers seem to be high-quality. This planner is way more put-together than I am. I can see why people like to splurge on them.
This is my second year with an ECLP litebright. Let me know if you want me to lead you down the sticker path.
I’ve had a throughly shitty week at work. Our project funding runs out in May and senior managers have been trying to figure out how to fill the gap until the new government fiscal year. Then yesterday, the government program manager capriciously let us know - on a larger conference call with probably 100 participants of which we are a small part - that the project is dead. He was basically dripping in glee. It’s the nature of the business but this one is hard. I was finally getting somewhere professionally and now I don’t know where I’ll end up, starting over yet again. Fuck, man. From taking on some direct reports to compiling my materials to turn over in the span of 4 days.
I'm oddly disappointed that Susan Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri is a dime a dozen blogger. She had every advantage in life to be a uniquely interesting person. But she's just selling overexposed photos of her home and fake idyllic life like plenty of other people.
Eta: I have shared this info with my husband. He is equally appalled.

omg I just went and found her IG and I am so embarrassed for her.

@@@@@ I have to admit I kind of want to hear the truth behind getting divorced while pregnant with what she claimed was a planned child with her husband.
