Is anyone else obsessively following Sherry’s stories on Instagram? I’m not a beach person, but man, what a great place to live if you are. That area looks so pretty and I love the architecture of the homes around them. It’s the perfect little beach town.
Yes. I do think it looks beautiful and I think their house, whether or not it will work longer term with pre-teens/teenagers, is going to be really cute and beautiful.

Wow!!!!! That house is gorgeous and I love the style. I should start following them because I've always been a fan of their style overall and I'm updating a few things. I'm definitely 100% basic bitch, haha.

How long do you think they'll stay in this one?
They were in the Richmond house for a good number of years, right? Like 5 or something? It doesn’t seem crazy to think they’ll be there into their kids’ teen years.
I wouldn’t think their kids would want to move again, but I’m a little surprised their kids were so amped to move in the first place. I feel like their daughter is at a tough age to start over.
It seems like that area is too expensive for them to buy and rehab other properties, so maybe they’ll move on sooner, I don’t know. They do seem pretty excited though, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they stay there long term. Blog content is going to have to change a lot once they’re done with this house though.

3-5 years. They'll have plenty of stuff to do for content for that long. Then they'll need to move on and they'll probably make bank by renovating in this location. They've said every house is their "forever home" so...fool me once and all that, lol. But hey, maybe they'll prove me wrong!
We love vacationing where their new house is. It’s so gorgeous there! I would not want to be a full time resident during the summer but the rest of the year it would be amazing! Maybe in retirement!

I know they’ve said the panhandle- have they said specifically what town?

I don t know if they have. I think it’s probably Seagrove or seaside since there are older homes there. Or maybe Grayton beach area.

I think someone upthread mentioned Santa Rosa.
I saw information about the artist that lived in their house, and it said that she had a home in Inlet Beach.

The little bit that Sherry has showed of the outside, including the deck and row of french doors outside the master, looks totally gorgeous. It's small but lovely. I definitely think they can make it work.
Does the new house have a garage? That would be the hardest thing for me to downsize on.
It doesn't seem like it. I think the overall lack of storage (no basement/attic/garage) would be the biggest issue for me personally. I'm just thinking of all the stuff that I have in those places and it really adds up.
But they are really buying into the idea of downsizing, so I guess that includes all of those extras.

I know they’re downsizing, but they still have plenty of seasonal stuff. What about all their Christmas decor? I can’t figure out what they’re going to do with that kind of stuff right now.

It's not going to snow, so they don't need to keep the cars in it, and their yard is .10 acres (as is mine), so I can easily see not having a garage. Frankly, having a 1 car garage and an unfinished basement is kind of a mental burden for me because of all the crap that just gets thrown in there. Cleaning out both has been a project my husband has been saying he wants to prioritize for like 2 years.
I'm lucky I even have a garage - probably half the people in my town don't. But a large shed would be just as good to store the bikes, lawnmower, garden supplies, and furniture in the off season. We have a chest freezer there too because it won't fit down the basement stairs.

Did they say they kept it? Maybe they got rid of it all - for space and for new content and because it might not all go with the new house, which is a different style and, obviously, smaller. Maybe they'll temporarily keep it in the pod and have pods store it for them until they build a shed.

I mean, Sherry currently has about 20 bottle brush Christmas trees on her fridge. Lol
I didn’t think about having it stored until they build a shed, but that would be a smart solution.

So many changes the last few years with the beach houses and now the Florida move. I hope they do the decor a little higher end than they have in the past, but that seems unlikely. I'm over the cutting pages out of books decor.
Shari seems very manic on the Instagram videos. I enjoy the podcast as a distraction.

I don't get the master in the living room. I don't want to be in pjs looking out at a utility truck/where foot traffic can see me. Covering those windows on the doors negates their beauty.

I hope they build a climate controlled shed, because if it is anything like it is here, everything gets mildew-y and disgusting.
Our neighbor got tired of having to replace everything (tools, seasonal decorations, toys) that they had stored in their shed, and now they have everything stored in their garage and house. They warned us not to store anything of value in a shed here, so we just have rakes and shovels in a tiny shed. Everything else (meaning holiday decor and other tools) is in the house or office.

I agree - they likely wont need a lawn mower, for sure don't need a snow blower, their lawn furniture can sit out year around. My only thought would be where will all their home improvements tools go. But they said John gave up his table saw, so I am guessing they really purged a lot!
