We are going to an event called the Super Supper and Auction. We go just about every year. DH just asked if they will serve dinner. 1) They have served dinner every year. 2) It’s called a SUPPER.
The neighbors just asked if they could have DD AND DS over. DD gets the invite all the time, but DS is 3.5 and rarely included. DH and I are just sitting home alone, not really sure what to do with ourselves. It’s weird.

Someone at my kids’ school’s auction just paid $11,000 for a puppy. I sometimes forget how many people here have f you money.
That’s insane. Was the puppy coated in platinum and diamonds?
We have an event like that next month. 3 separate couples paid $13,000 EACH to have a dinner prepared by some dads that are chefs. $39k for 3 dinners. To my knowledge, they were not fed gold and Precious gems.
Yesterday, DH and I picked up all of the tile for our kitchen backsplash and mud room and bathroom floor. Those suckers are heavy. I was in the truck bed sliding them to DH, we would both lift, then he put on a handcart and rolled to the garage.
About a month ago, I started having hip issues. I broke my pelvis many years ago, pain at this age is not surprising due to injury, but it’s gotten progressively worse. I’m not terribly overweight (could lose 5-10lbs) and I’m moderately active (gym 3-4 days a week).
I believe the tile and hip have conspired because I popped something in my back while bending slightly to spit while brushing my teeth. And OMG I cant move. Pain is shooting sideways and down the front and back of my leg. I’m in urgent care, risking Coronavirus, in hopes of a steroid shot.
DH came home for the weekend. Now he is leaving the country. I think it is harder this time even though I didn't know he was coming back when he first left. I think it sucks so much more because I now know how hard this is going to be and it was so nice to have him here. I was happier, the kids were happier and it was just easier.
We have a minimum of 12 weeks until we see him again and that's only if the pass is approved (no guarantee).
