Me too! No big plans this weekend. DD is going to a retreat all weekend, but coming home at night. I am hoping that DH will take her in the mornings so I can have my coffee and get some cleaning done. Sunday is supposed to be beautiful, so we are hoping to get outside and maybe grill. DS may have a party Saturday.
Tonight, DH is tossing up going out to eat or cooking at home. I am leaning toward going out either to the local bar and grill or maybe sushi.
The kids’ Spring Break is next week. I’m going to take most afternoons off. This weekend, 5 yo DS asked for a day where we do nothing. I’m totally on board with that idea. So we are going to be really low key all weekend. I’m really excited for that!

Tomorrow is DS's kids birthday party. ExH planned it at a trampoline place and I'm going to make an appearance. Nothing else planned this weekend and I'm good with that!
This is our potty training weekend, so we're not planning to take DS2 anywhere. He'll just run around the house naked or in underwear. My parents will take DS1 to his tball game tomorrow morning, then when DH gets up (he sleeps in on Saturdays and I sleep in on Sundays), he will take over potty watch while I take the older kids to the Y and work out. Saturday night the older kids will have a sleepover at my parents' condo and DH and I will watch a movie after DS1 goes to bed - anyone have any recommendations? I'm thinking maybe JoJo Rabbit? Sunday morning I'll sleep in a bit and workout like normal. Then no other plans.

Nothing we have to do tomorrow, so we might go to two museums downtown. One has a military/service dog exhibit (and we love German Shepherds) and we have a membership to the other museum across the street. Sunday is church and then we have our small group in the early evening.
The weather is supposed to be nice (upper 40s on Saturday, almost 60 on Sunday, which is nice for early March in MI), so the kids will be told to go outside and play both days. I'm going to walk up and down our street for exercise and enjoy the weather and sun.
I do need to do some chores this weekend too. If I'm feeling up to it, I may venture into the spring cleaning-level of cleaning.

TGIF! I am off today and H and I went to close on the refi of our mortgage. Also deep cleaning the rugs and will have either a movie night or a board game night with the kids this evening, kid moods depending.
Tomorrow the girls and I are going local women’s history exhibit downtown with my best friend and her daughter and then for tacos. Also DD1 has ukulele lessons. Sunday, nada planned. Maybe the park, maybe some yard work.
librarychica if you're willing to share, what rate did you get, and did you take cash out?
We're considering refinancing and taking some cash out, and just keeping it in the bank, since we could keep our payment the same and could always just pay it back if we wanted.
We don't have any big plans. I'm hoping to get a hike in at some point, DS has a friend coming over tomorrow/I get to visit with my friend, and DD has a birthday party on Saturday evening.
Today is a no school day, ugh. DD just got picked up by a gym friend to go watch her team compete at the local gymnastics meet so I get the afternoon to work in peace, ha-ha. Saturday DD is having a grandma day they are making homemade noodles, chocolate covered raspberries, and probably cookies. Sunday DD will probably come to work with me. I'm working both days and the forecast calls for rain which makes working 100X easier. Sunday night we are celebrating my sister's b-day so I get dinner and cake and don't have to cook!

20 year, 3.25%. We didn’t take cash out. Just wanted a lower rate (We has an ARM that would adjust in a year or so) and to shave a few years off of the loan.
Thanks librarychica. We figured out that we could take $70k out and still lower our monthly payment by like $200 a month. We don't have plans for the money other than saving it for now. It will be 30 years, 3% I think.
I didnt work at all today except for one 4 minute phone call! I finally got my day off! I straightened the whole downstairs, did 2 loads of laundry, cleaned DD's mess of a room, and scraped paint off our mantle. The wood is still in really good shape so I am hoping I don't mess it up!
No big plans for tomorrow other than cleaning the house. DD's birthday is Monday so we are having family over for cake and ice cream on Sunday. I cannot believe she is going to be 3
We spent the weekend putting together the IKEA Stuva loft bed for DD’s room. It wasn’t much of a weekend for fun but I’m definitely feeling the itch to spring clean. And she has so much more room to get dressed and play in her room.
We did do a mom/ son night and it was really fun and had a magician.
Potty training was a moderate success. We at least survived the weekend and didn’t give up. DS2 got lots of sugar as incentives.
I’m ready for our in-home daycare provider to push back tomorrow on us wanting to stick to underwear instead of pull ups and the extra work required to take him to the potty frequently. But I’m providing plenty of extra clothes and underwear for her to use. And I figure if you’re a toddler daycare provider, assisting with potty training is part of the job description. DD’s daycare provider 5 years ago essentially completely potty trained her. We love our current provider but she doesn’t seem too interested in helping on this front.
sdlaura - I didn’t have to fight with DCPabout undies, but I did find that the one time I put a pull up on DD1 (long car ride that was notorious for terrible traffic and nowhere to pull over), she got a terrible rash. There was something in them that she was allergic to.
So, if you haven’t used already, just say you’re worried about an allergy if there is any pushback??
mae0111 unfortunately we had already been using honest company pull ups, so that won’t work for us Of course DS2 woke up with a cough today. Daycare provider will be thrilled about a cough plus potty training I’m sure
