We are stocked up on frozen meat etc BUT I donāt want to blow through it all and then be stuck when there actually are confirmed cases in my area. Kids are already through most of our fresh fruit and veggies
So I will probably go once every 1-1.5 weeks until the situation amps up more here. Wonāt take the kids.
Had to go in to the pharmacy today so grabbed more shelf stable snacks there since I was already out.

I've got an order for pickup scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at a store about 15 mins further from my usual because they are the only one that has it before this weekend and I'm not trying to deal with the crowds. It's not a huge order but I needed to get some produce and a few staples that I realized were getting low. We should be good for a few weeks. My roommate totally stocked up on snacks last week.
I know! 7/day - DH and I eat 2 each and the boys eat 1 each. Clearly we are going to have to find an alternative.
Quiche or breakfast casserole. One slice/piece per person and supplement with fruit, bread, etc. A 9 inch quiche should get you 2 days worth of breakfast and use less eggs than you use in one day. A 9x13 casserole should yield 3 days worth of breakfasts.

I may need to go this weekend for some frozen veggies, I think that's the only thing we don't have enough of. I'll either go to the small grocery store at an off hour or I'll do pick up, if my regular grocery store starts back up. It's canceled right now.
Well my food delivery was supposed to be delivered by 5PM, I was told it was. By 6 I was told it was delayed but definitely by 8PM, then at 7 told it was cancelled! MFrs.
My H went out today to a small specialty store in town. He was only able to get about 1/2 the list. He will go out again tomorrow to try and get the rest at supermarket.
The shelves have been mostly empty for over a week. The assholes in NJ are hoarding all supplies, now store have seemed to set limits, but we are definitely not able to get some things,
Whatever he comes home with tomorrow will be what we have for 2 weeks. I am on a post op very restrictive diet so I don't need much.
Our freezer and pantry are full, but I went today for fresh fruit and vegetables. I bought a lot, so I have to make a plan on what to use first. Iāll save stuff that can be blanched and frozen for last, like broccoli and spinach. I did pick up a couple pantry items I know Iāll be using this week, since I was there, but I would have been ok just using what I have.
I have to say, today was the first day I really felt like āI shouldnāt be out here,ā and I was even more careful about touching stuff than I have been before. I used a Kleenex whenever I needed to touch a door handle, washed my hands upon entering and before leaving each store, and used a Purell wipe on the cart handle and seat, and even gingerly on the bottom and handle of my purse. I changed my entire outfit when I got home, and my clothes and shopping bags went straight into the laundry. Originally I thought I might make one grocery trip per week, but now I may try to stretch it longer if possible. My fear is that Iāll get too low and stores will continue to be sold out. So I donāt know what Iāll really do.

We arenāt going anywhere. We had clicklist delivery yesterday, she did a great job, and we gave her a big tip. We managed to get bread, milk, eggs, cheese, etc. They had zero meat and zero flour. We opened the garage door and she kindly dropped everything off in the driveway so we didnāt get too close. We cleaned the items we could before bringing them into the house (like we wiped down the milk jug) and washed the produce right away. Weāll get that every 10 days or so Iām guessing, but weāre eating a lot of what we had stocked up on.
We are only physically going when we need to pick up a prescription and even then I think weāll go to the drive through.
Unfortunately it looks like there arenāt any off hours at the moment. The stores limited their hours and itās busy all the time.
