msmerymac, I don't care! Disney is fun. Chicago is fun. It's all places none of us can go right now! That's an idea for a sub-board if I've ever heard one.
we are supposed to go June 3-7... just DH and i for a much needed kid-free trip. ( it was even much needed before they were home from school indefinitely!!!!) I'm still crossing my fingers for it- since its 2 over 2 months away.... but, we'll see what happens by early/ mid may and decide. I'm probably gonna cry if i end up cancelling- i have it all planned so well!!! Dinner at California Grill, the all-day Backstage Magic Tour, Villains After Hours... plus SO looking forward to the time without the kids!! (we don't live near family that baby-sits or takes them once in awhile, don't have a ton of friends that do playdates or anything like that, and i'm a stay at home mom- so DH and i really need to be "us" again for a couple days!!! its gonna kill me to have to cancel :-( WE also have a family DCL cruise scheduled in November- i'm not too worried about that one, except maybe just the airfare to get to Orlando, since i think a lot of people are rescheduling their march and april trips until november/ december. We live in NJ, so we'll drive if we have to HAHA

We are semi-local passholders who go a lot but I have my fear that Disney as we know it will be very different for awhile. They already made lots of personnel decisions, and as this stretches on will be forced to make even more, and no doubt the experience will not be the same when it reopens. I'm bracing myself now so I won't be completely shocked when things happen.
For us, our plans will depend on the state of things at the time. I miss going terribly - esp right now when we usually spend tons of time at Flower and Garden Festival - and joke that we'll be one of the first in the park when it reopens but the reality is that we'll keep our distance until we're sure the risk is low. Thankfully the annual passes aren't too expensive.

We were supposed to go to Aruba in May. It’s not cancelled yet but that’s just because we haven’t gotten around to it. We’re out $500.00 no matter when we cancel so we’re taking care of other things first. Like trying to get a grip on distance learning and all that Jazz.

Oops!! Wrong board! Just have clicked on this accidentally when trying for P&CE. Sorry!
We have refundable reservations to ski closing weekend in Whistler (Memorial Day). We can cancel 2 days in advance so we'll wait and see but I have a very hard time believing we'll go (Whistler is closed now but said they may try and reopen late April/early May).
My parents spend each summer back East. We generally go every other year but were considering going this year (we went last year) because my parents are getting older and I worry we won't have many of these times left. Unless things drastically improve none of us will be going (my parents included).
H is signed up to do a guided climb of Mt. Baker in July with some friends. So far it's still on but the outfitter cancelled climbs through May. So it's wait and see.
We were planning to do a road trip to Utah in August but haven't booked anything yet.
We have plans to ski Whistler for Thanksgiving weekend. I'm hopeful we'll be able to travel by then.
@@@ DD plays travel lacrosse and is supposed to have tournaments in Denver (in June) and Southern California (in July). They haven't been cancelled yet but I'm guessing they will.
I was just starting to think about going in March 2021 rather than waiting until 2022....but after this, I think it's likely we will wait until 2022 after all. We hadn't made any plans and we were just starting to talk about it (me trying to convince DH it wasn't too soon to go again, LOL).
We booked a timeshare exchange and got Saratoga Springs for 4/3-4/10. Clearly that is no longer happening. I rescheduled flights for July. I think outside of the summer heat wave, I don't know when we would be able to go before the next flu season.
I was supposed to be at DLR from Mar30-April 2. I rescheduled for May 6-12, but just canceled that. Our next planned trip (DLR) is Sept 23-27 and I have another one planned for Oct 22-27. I'll be honest that I don't know if those will happen. I have an AP and I know that they'll be extended as long as the parks are shut, but I also don't know how I feel about going for a while after they open.
I just cancelled our Labor Day trip. Surprisingly the easiest thing to cancel was the Hilton Grand Vacation package I had booked. Still haven't heard back from Undercover Tourist about our tickets (I bought the refundable type) but I'm sure they're overwhelmed. But I'd really like that $2k+ back.
We are thinking about a trip to DL in October to use the promo for kids. I went ahead and grabbed flights on Southwest because I found them for like 11,000 points round trip.

Possibly, I would like to get a trip in before DD turns 3 next Jan and we have to buy a ticket for her. We might look at fall if we’re comfortable with air travel then.
Based on what I‘ve now read about the quick spread during plane travel, I think sadly I can’t subject my family to going back anymore this year. The more you know sheesh. I realize I am singing a completely different tune now than I had a month ago.

I just canceled our August trip. I won’t be ready to go somewhere so crowded by then. I’m sure they’ll be less crowded than usual, but I still won’t be comfortable.
We were supposed to be waking up in WDW this morning. I'm very glad that the parks closed when they did, and we got refunds for everything, but it's making me a little sad this morning to think about the fun vacation we aren't taking.
If this is the case, I wonder whether they’ll honor 2020 ticket prices. Right now the policy is reschedule before Dec. 15 or they’ll turn into a credit toward new tickets after that.
Honestly I truly don’t think they will be closed for the remainder of the year. Shanghai Disney is already making moves towards reopening things slowly. I would be shocked if it was the remainder of the year. I do think when they reopen it will definitely come in roll out stages and they will implement new procedures.
That one analyst’s story has really spread. Even our local news ran it. I’m guessing it’s because there’s nothing else out there as far as news beyond this mid-May extension.
For DL, I just can’t see them staying closed since they were planning to open Avengers land and likely need to start making money off that investment.

Lol, the state of California cares not about their investment. They can reopen when they’re allowed to reopen.
You’d be better off betting on Florida than California.

Sorry. I didn’t mean to imply they wouldn’t follow the state’s guidelines. I meant voluntarily staying closed.
