This is definitely going to be a weird Easter. We usually go to church, a family party, and sometimes have an outdoor egg hunt with DH's parents. None of that will be happening.
I'm hoping to buy a ham. Probably will make a traditional ham, cheesey potatoes, asparagus, fresh fruit, rolls type meal. I think we'll make a fun dessert that kids would like. Maybe a bunny cake or bunny cupcakes. We made something like this one year and they were really cute and fun to make:
We only ever really celebrate Easter with anything more than chocolate for my mom but we certainly won't be together this year, so probably another day, more or less. If I can get the ingredients, we'll probably make a strata for breakfast and maybe lamb for dinner. I could make sugar cookies if any of the three of us still have any interest in refined sugar at that point. (DH has been comfort baking and it has been... a lot.)

The dyed eggs will be the deviled eggs, forever and ever, amen.
We are able to get together with my mom and her H (we’ve all been at home for several weeks now). She has my brother’s children in her care, since he is an essential worker and they all thought it was safer for them to weather this with Nana than be exposed daily by their dad.
But, Easter is usually a pretty big deal in my family, so we may have a regular menu. We’ll see. I’m glad some of us can still get together to celebrate.
Whatever is left in the pantry and freezer probably. I’m in a very hard hit area. On the plus side I did think to get candy and Easter basket fillings for my kids so at least there’s that. All they really care about is the egg hunt anyway!
I think we’ll just do a big breakfast (French toast, bacon, eggs, fruit) and that will be our celebratory meal since neither H nor I are big ham people and the kids (5 and 2) won’t appreciate a big Easter meal.

We always do brunch with my family, so we’ll probably make a big brunch at home for the 3 of us. With plenty of prosecco and/or Bloody Mary’s. I’ve been craving biscuits and gravy, so maybe I’ll attempt that.
I am hoping (if we can’t get together with my family) that I can find a ham. I bought a turkey the other day just in case. I’ll try to do something fun for breakfast, maybe French toast with homemade bread? Fruit and definitely Prosecco. Dinner will hopefully be ham, asparagus, some kind of cheesey potatoes, salad and a fun dessert. I’m going to be stalking this thread apparently!
Our first Easter after we married it was just the two of us in a new state and we ordered pizza and drove around looking at new things. We may do that this year. I like the idea of a nice brunch though.

We are not religious and don't celebrate Easter at all, but we do usually use it as an excuse to go to a nice brunch at a restaurant locally and drink mimosas lol. I'm sad we won't be able to do that this year.
I will probably see if DH can cook us up a big breakfast at home instead. Maybe pancakes, eggs, bacon, some sort of hashbrown casserole.
My family always goes out for Easter, so we may do carry out from a nicer local restaurant.
Otherwise, I have some ham slices and will do scalloped potatoes, asparagus, rolls, and cupcakes. I already have the boxed mix and dd will have fun helping me. Maybe I’ll do a crab dip lunch/appetizer too.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
We usually do an Easter brunch out but I'm thinking this year we'll do NYE-style appetizers. As much as I'd love to do a big dinner because I'm in the mood to cook, I know I won't be able to find everything I need in my area so I just want to do something easy. I was thinking a junk food and movie day.
I’m doing a traditional to us Easter dinner if I can find a turkey.
Roast turkey Gravy Sage and onion dressing (I call it stuffing but it’s not in the bird) Cranberry sauce. My eldest daughter insists on homemade. Steamed brussel sprouts and carrots Corn Mashed and roast potatoes Green salad with tomatos, cucumber, and shrimp. Pumpkin and apple pie with whip/vanilla ice cream.
We never host Easter since my SIL always does. Since we’re on our own, I think I might go all out on an Easter Brunch for the 4 of us. Just cane up with that idea about 30 seconds ago, so no idea what the menu is other than mimosas.
We usually do Easter just at home with the 2 of us, and don't really do anything special for dinner. I usually make a nicer breakfast and we have mimosas, and we buy each other candy for Easter baskets. I don't think we'll really be doing that this year though. I'll probably boil eggs though. We have some unopened OJ in the fridge so we'll probably have mimosas. And maybe I'll make cinnamon rolls.
I seriously haven’t given it a second of thought. We do typically make a traditional meal even though we don’t celebrate, but it feels like a lot of work to plan something like that, especially if we can’t get certain things. Doing a fancier brunch sounds good. I should have what I need to make cinnamon rolls because I’m getting buttermilk for DS1’s birthday cake this week.
Breakfast: eggs benedict, likely with bacon instead of ham Afternoon/evening: cheese and charcuterie, including some cheese spreads and homemade baguette, plus mini crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, veggie tray Sweets: probably just Easter candy (butter krak and jelly beans) and toffee cashew bark, unless I feel like making cookies or something. Depends on what supplies get delivered to me this week.
Candy and champagne? I don't know. I usually go to a friend's house for Easter and it's so much fun but fucking COVID. So I might as well eat chocolate and get tipsy. Now that I write that out, it'll be like everyday during lockdown.
..... Just cane up with that idea about 30 seconds ago, so no idea what the menu is other than mimosas.
That's a good start!
Since it is just the two of us for most holidays, we have a tradition of a nice breakfast, and the rest of the day is a graze fest of small bites...tapas style, and usually includes crab cakes.
We're doing a turkey breast and broccoli casserole. Probably some sort of potato.
Dessert will be homemade ice cream with lots of sundae topping delivered by the Easter Bunny. The kids are really craving group, so this will be our way of bringing it to them.
It's just the 3 of us so I'll try to do something special without going crazy. I'll likely roast a chicken and maybe try my hand at scalloped potatoes from scratch.
