He is all over the place. If he was going to extend it anyway, why can't he be a leader? Is he a bad person or just stupid or is there something else wrong with his brain? (I know this had been debated endlessly but my rage is high these days).

I mean it depends on what you want to believe, but many people think there is something else wrong with his brain....
Seriously? Claiming that hospitals are hoarding or stealing the masks?! Are you fucking kidding me? I'm so disgusted with him. It's going to be 100 times worse because he is the president.
I still can't get over the fact that he bragged about his television ratings.
To him this is all May sweeps ratings time. Accusing the hospitals was ridiculous. Yes they’re going through that many! Patient load is through the roof and you have to mask up for every single patient interaction where you wouldn’t have to normally.
H and I were wondering why stores aren't doing delivery/pickup service hours (the stores own employees + shoot, instacart, etc) every day to allow those shoppers/employees lower risk time to put together orders, and allow them to get more orders done. Then open it to the general public.
Seems like it would be win win as the store employees would be safer, they'd be able to get more pickup/delivery orders done. Heck the stores can and should upcharge for pickup in this environment so they could come out further ahead while protecting employees.
Instacart employees absolutely should strike. The time is perfect.
The thing that blew me away yesterday was Orange Cheeto categorically denying that he told Pence to tell the governors if "they weren't nice to Cheeto, he wasn't going to be nice to them", DESPITE THE VIDEO EVIDENCE TO THE EXACT OPPOSITE THAT THE WHOLE COUNTRY SAW ON LIVE TV. Lemme say it again for the cheap seats--VIDEO EVIDENCE!
He only cares about the perception of how he’s doing, not how he is actually doing. Ratings = interest in him. If his numbers tank, then it’ll be someone else’s fault and enough people will believe him.
Sixty singers showed up. A greeter offered hand sanitizer at the door, and members refrained from the usual hugs and handshakes. After 2½ hours, the singers parted ways at 9 p.m. Nearly three weeks later, 45 have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or ill with the symptoms, at least three have been hospitalized, and two are dead. The outbreak has stunned county health officials, who have concluded that the virus was almost certainly transmitted through the air from one or more people without symptoms.
The World Health Organization has downplayed the possibility of transmission in aerosols, stressing that the virus is spread through much larger “respiratory droplets,” which are emitted when an infected person coughs or sneezes and quickly fall to a surface.
But a study published March 17 in the New England Journal of Medicine found that when the virus was suspended in a mist under laboratory conditions it remained “viable and infectious” for three hours — though researchers have said that time period would probably be no more than a half-hour in real-world conditions.

For the first part: Remember, this is under ideal laboratory conditions. And for the second part: this is in all likelihood a guess. We just don't know how long the droplets would remain suspended in air.

I'm confused about why this has stunned health officials. Isn't this why they say you need to be 6' apart, because the virus can spread when someone coughs or sneezes. I know the article claims that no one was coughing or sneezing, but come on, in a group of that size, people would have coughed or sneezed on occasion. Is the concern is that so many people got sick? Even if the person was in the middle of the room, there would have been people more than 6' away who then got sick.

I believe it’s really hard for stores like this to keep an accurate inventory of what they have available which would make ordering near impossible. They often don’t know when they’re getting the next shipment of various products.
Just over a week ago, Hobby Lobby management sent out a memo telling employees they were staying open because the owner's wife got a message from God saying He would guide them.
"He" has now guided them to close stores and permanently lay off people effective immediately without severance or insurance. Via e-mail.

Also the activity seems relevant here. Like maybe this would be shocking if you were talking about it spreading like that amongst people in a moving theater. But people who are singing take in and expel a lot of air. And they do all those vocal chord warm ups that require a lot of enunciating. Even if nobody is coughing, there's probably a ton of spit droplets being fired around.

If their blatant homophobia wasn’t reason enough to boycott them before...? If anyone still shops at this store with a NetWorth of $7.8 BILLION, they are trash.
Unfortunately, I assume the new political play is to say that the models predicted 2.2 million Americans could die so he "saved" us when the number is lower

Here’s what I don’t get- why are they so dumb? As far as I know, based on emails I’m getting several times a day, both Michael’s and JoAnn are still open here and offering curbside delivery. WHY brag that you’re staying open because your prayer warrior wife received a message from above vs just adapting to the needs of the current situation? I know this is far more nuanced than just that, but they really blew this and I’m not sad or surprised.
