DD1 napped pretty consistently until 4-4.5. DD2 is 3 and has been hit or miss on naps recently, but she's pretty good about staying quiet for an hour or so even when she doesn't nap.

It's kid specific but I've found that at the point when naps start to interfere with bedtime, it's time for them to go.
My kids were all over the place on this. My oldest dropped naps at 2.5 on her own, my middle was still napping the summer before kindergarten, and my 3-year-old is in that awkward spot where she still need a short nap but a long one dooms bedtime, so I'd love for her to just stop napping at this point.
Majority of the time, the 3.5 year old needs a nap. On days she naps, her bedtime is 8:30pm. She usually plays in her room after that but as long as she isn’t bothering us, then I don’t care.
If she doesn’t nap, she goes to bed around 7:30pm. She’s usually asleep in minutes.
I much prefer when she naps. We’re all more pleasant with that break in the day.

she was 4 when I had her drop them. She didn't do it on her own. No no nope. She was still napping a good 2h/day at daycare at 4 and that was recharging her batteries so she was up until 11p. We (daycare and i) made the exec decision to cut the nap and she started crashing out at a more respectable 9pm.
DS1 - dropped nap around 3.5 DS2 - dropped nap around 2.5 DD1 - only 10 months old but enjoying her best napping life with uninterrupted naps every.single.day.

At home, we dropped at age 3. I was tired of the battles about it taking up our weekends. Both kids would still nap at pre-school on weekdays. Bedtime was a struggle for DS1 until full day kindergarten with no naps, and I’m lucky if DS2 is asleep by 10pm (going to bed around 8:30-9) so I’ll be glad when he stops napping at school.
Right now, for E1. He napped at school most days, for about an hour and a half. Yesterday, he took at 2.5 hour nap and it took him 2 hours to go to sleep last night.
Ughhhh. I'm not ready. He's 4.5 though, so it's time.
We hadn’t been consistent with quiet time until this started and we are up to 2 hours now (hes 4y3m). He absolutely loves these books and will do them the entire time. We also have an alexa timer in his room so he can ask how much longer
My kids are 2 and 4. Both still nap (at school and home). School naps are about 1.5 hours and home naps are about 2.5 hours. My 4 year old starts kinder prep in the fall and will only have quiet time as an option, so our nap days may be almost over with him...cry!
fuck me, my 4 year old refused a nap today. Clearly I jinxed myself. Never responding to a post like this again, lol!
