That being said, prepare yourself that you may not get a lot of what you want. I don't know if your stores are better stocked, but two weeks ago I tried to place an order for about $150 in stuff and they had about $17 of it. I never picked it up because it wasn't worth it for what they had.

I was on this morning adding to my cart and they had an open slot. I went back like 30 minutes later and there were no more open slots. Crazy.
I am cautiously optimistic about getting a lot of the stuff that I need but I prepared to be disappointed. Lol... if that makes sense. I really don’t want to go to the store.
I have an order for tomorrow going for us and my in-laws. I ordered a lot more than I normally would knowing I will probably get less than half of it! We are pretty good so it shouldn’t be an issue if I don’t get most of it. I just jumped on the time slot since it was the first available. (Placed it Saturday)
I used to use it all the time (I haven't been able to get spot lately) but I don't get an email saying my order is ready. I get an email saying my order is confirmed when I submit it and about half the time I get a reminder email saying "Don't forget to pick up your order at 5!" But looking through my emails, that email doesn't show up every time.
I just show up anytime during my scheduled window and they always have it ready to go.
I typically like grocery shopping so I have never used Kroger pickup before but with the Coronavirus I thought I would try it.
Do they automatically charge my card or will it be used when I get there and get my stuff? Will my Kroger card take all the savings off automatically?
I have a pickup time between 5-6. Do I just show up at 5 and wait or do they call/text when my order is ready for pickup?
Me and my wife and huge Sam's Club users and finally tried the online pick up. Not only was it easy, but we come in contact with limited people and saved hours. I definitely recommend it.

We have Fred Meyer here and I love grocery pickup and have been doing it for a few years. You can add to your cart for weeks which comes in handy to just add stuff to your cart as you run out of it. Also, right now because of everything going on I wasn't even able to place an order (they reserve spots 3 days in advance), but one morning I woke up super early and was able to get a slot but it was 3 days out by the time I checked out.
I also like that it pre-loads stuff on my front login page of the stuff I always buy, making it easy to add to my cart. Also, when you're looking for something search vaguely sometimes to get all of the options.
My order last weekend was pretty well filled - but 2 weeks ago it was a hot mess and of a $180 they only fulfilled about $100 of it.

UPDATE (lol)
I am very happy to report that I got 90% of what I ordered.. i don’t know why more people don’t do this, it was so easy. I already have a pickup time for next week.
