Our company does a lot of work with Walmart. This week one of our execs told me that one of their execs told him sales of tops are great but no one is buying bottoms. They thought it was because of telework. I kind of thought he was kidding me until I saw it in a news article.
So, what is everyone wearing to work? Are you putting on makeup every day? Doing your hair?
I’m wearing jeans and mostly cute tops. Today I was cold so I put on a hoodie. I’m also watching my calendar. If I have to be on VTC, I put on makeup and do my hair. Days like today, I have a ponytail and no makeup.
My disclaimer is that my company does not do video conferencing at all. The only people who see what I look like live in our house.
Makeup was quickly out the window.
Today's the first day I haven't done my hair since I ran out of time. I... don't know the last time I saw what my hair looks like when it dries on it's own. It's... something. Probably won't be doing that again.
I actually bought a couple pairs of sweat pants. I think I was 12 the last time I wore sweatpants. I have some LLR leggings that a friend gave me last year when I broke my foot and couldn't wear real pants, but I feel naked wearing them.
I do not miss dress shoes. I've been living in Nikes and my whole body says thank you for it.
I don't find jeans to be very comfortable, even when not pregnant. If I were going to work, I'd be wearing dresses, but at home I currently live in stretchy black pants. I'm glad this is my 4th baby because I have amassed quite a collection of stretchy black maternity pants by this point.
I'm still showering after exercise every morning and putting on light makeup everyday. I'm washing and styling my hair once a week (pretty normal for me, though I normally do blow-outs at the salon a few times a month). Then I just run a brush through it daily - I would put more effort into my hair if more people were seeing me.

My standard WFH uniform is a t-shirt and yoga pants. I don't do video conferencing. I did a trunk from Trunk Club a couple weeks ago and only kept a shirt, cute pants and some mules, but probably won't wear them until after the quarantine. I only put on my usual CC cream when I know I'm seeing beau and my plain hairstyle hasn't changed.
I’m not on zoom meetings so no makeup, though I have one tonight, so I will be putting some on.
Most days I start in workout clothes and then change into jeans If it’s cold and miserable, I wear fleece leggings and a fleece jacket. With the construction in the house, the doors are often left open and it gets cold in here.
I keep trying to put on jeans so that I can track the impact of all the garbage I’m consuming.
I've been doing leggings or jeans with hoodies. Pulling my hair back in a clip because my pixie cut is quickly approaching mullet grow out stage... Yikes. Makeup was barely there, even though I'm on video calls with coworkers.
Today I actually did my makeup, dried my hair, put on earrings and a normal outfit. Just jeans and a sweater, but more dressed up than I've been wearing and almost what I'd wear to the office. And I have to say, I felt a million times better. I'm going to keep doing it. I just feel like more of a productive human when I'm put together.
I've been wearing jeans and t-shirts. Like today I am wearing a sweatshirt for the university I work for today, and a pair of jeans. No makeup, hair is in a pony tail. However, engineering professors aren't known for being stylish, so most of this isn't a big deal. I did invest in some good retinol for my forehead lines, I got a sample in my birchbox, and can't believe how nice it is, but super pricy. Makes my forehead look better.
I have been wearing yoga pants and tshirts or sweatshirts. I blow dry my hair and put some mascara on. I was a bit horrified yesterday went I attended out daily 900 briefing and saw how HUGE you appear on the HUGE monitor anytime you speak. I give a brief daily. In tshirt, only mascara, and a ponytail. Not my usual work look.
Well I'm still going into work but not seeing anyone and am keeping my same business casual attire. If anything I'm adding stuff like jewelry or makeup because I'm trying to make myself feel a little better. DD has deemed a weekly pj day at the office so last Friday I wore yoga pants with a fuzzy sweater to work instead of dress clothes while she had a pj day.

My WFH wear has ranged from sweats and tshirt with no make up to jeans and vneck from Target with full face. I've worn workout clothes the most. I almost always do something with my hair. It makes me feel like me. I've been doing make up more often than not.
Since WFH isn't new for me, normal WFH attire is jeans, nicer top or a Target t with a sweater and sperrys or Tom's. Amount of make up depends on the day and if I'll see clients. Or anyone other than DH or MIL.
I think I have more meetings now and they’re all video. I feel like I’m on TV 3-4hrs a day. Makeup every day, makeup bag next to my laptop. (Draw what conclusions you will about my insecurities lol.)
I’m wearing my usual work tops. I don’t have that many casual clothes, as it turns out. Jeans or jeggings, usually slippers or no shoes. I wore sweatpants one day this week and it felt great but I don’t think it would be as good if I did it every day.
It depends on who my meetings include-my high school has 150 participants so no one has their camera on besides the principal. My elem school does the same things but if I’m in a small meeting there with the camera on I’m makeup free and in athletic gear. I wore a real outfit (casual shirt and jeans) and do makeup and hair for my department which is out of the central office. When we start working with kids-it’s honestly going to depend on the kid and family I think.

Well ATM I am in my PJs. I start the day early in my PJs, break to get the kids settled and get dressed, and go back to work in jeans or leggings and a tshirt. I think I’ve worn a blouse maybe twice in two weeks. It’s quite a change, but we don’t have video calls. I brush my hair and pin it back (it’s short and growing out weird) and I rarely wear makeup anyway.
Athleisure for me. I haven't had a video call yet, so no reason to dress up. I still do my makeup (not full amount) and hair in the morning, as that helps me feel more "normal."
Yoga pants or leggings and athletic tops or hoodies. I've been letting my hair air dry and no makeup. I have my first zoom video call today so I'll probably put makeup on right before it. This reminds me of maternity leave. Exercising and taking a shower every day has helped me.
I keep hearing about people air drying their hair.. and I need to know what I'm doing wrong. Because.. my goodness does it look terrible. Like stuck a finger in an electric socket terrible.
k3am, I have ridiculously pin straight hair. But if I let it air dry, every single layer of my very layered short haircut decides to go in a different direction. It does not air dry well at all. Can't do it. I look ridiculous.
k3am , Mine is long enough (beyond shoulder length) that even though it looks fluffy if air dried, I just pull it back. I also typically air dry in normal times though, and just pull it back.

It needs to be longer. Then it just looks like a luscious wavy lions mane vs electric socket. . And pony tails.

k3am mine doesn't air dry well. I have tight curls in the back and just a little wave in the front. Air drying ONLY works if I put gel in and scrunch my hair frequently throughout the dry time. At that point its quicker to just blow dry.

Mine is long, and still doesn't air dry well. It's thick enough that ponytails for longer than a couple hours give me a headache So blow dry and style it is. The good news is that I can go a week between washes and it doesn't get greasy.

Same for me! Although I've noticed the coil type hair ties give me less headaches. So if you haven't tried those yet, you might check them out. I started using them to put my hair up for workouts when I'm between washes. Now I use them almost exclusively and don't get ponytail headaches as often.
