Add me to the list of those getting anxiety on behalf of poor rooster222 I hope that you are able to get it off soon, but honestly, I might be resorting to having it cut off at this point. I get anxious when my seatbelt locks, I couldn't imagine a stuck ring for days. Good luck!
Still stuck. Tried holding my hand above my head, method glass cleaner and dish soap. Not even close! The setting has 2 pieces that connect to the band and they really dig into my skin and make it painful when I twist.
I'm 100 percent serious. Your alternatives are 1) cut it off at home or 2) go to the ER during a pandemic and they'll let you sit in the waiting room for 8 hours until they can cut it off.

Can you put a hunk of potato over it? I know that sounds weird but people do that with broken light bulbs to help screw them out. Or something that would harden like play dough.

I’m sorry. I agree with Eagles to cut it off and then repair resize. In the meantime, maybe ortho wax from the dental care aisle in any store might make you more comfortable if the ring cutter takes a while to get there.
My husband had to cut my gold wedding band off once. You don't need a special tool - he used wire cutters or something like that from our garage. It was repaired good as new.
I had to have a platinum/diamond band cut off once in the hospital. They put an IV in my hand and didn't tell me to remove my ring. It was the middle of the night so I didn't notice. Woke up with a swollen hand and the ring was extremely painful. They brought in the ER ring cutter thingy and cut it off . But even a platinum eternity band was able to be fixed good as new.

Also one more thing, rooster222. What’s with your screen name? Do you have chickens? If you do, do you acknowledge that once this is over (ring thing not pandemic thing) you owe us rooster pics big time?

Sorry, no chickens here. Rooster is our dd's nickname.
Once it is cut, should be able to pry it apart enough so that you can slide it off.
And if that doesn't work, could you cut it in two places?
Honestly, I'm not sure. When I had a ring get stuck, my husband was able to cut it, and then grabbed each side with a pair of needlenosed pliers and was able to pry it open enough for me to slide it over my knuckle. I defer to Eagles

I’ve been following along... when we had to use a wire cutter/tin snip thingy to cut mine off (my finger was swollen to the point of it being dangerous) the ring kind of sprang open a few mm and we slid it carefully off. Unfortunately we cut it right where it was marked for the gold, but I didn’t have any other issues getting it repaired since I knew it was 18k gold.
