We have debated in getting one, then we got a stationary row machine and bike. Yeah, after a while on each I was burnt out and have out getting anything else off for a while. lol
I have a nice non-Peloton spin bike and haven’t used it much. Peloton made their app free for three months so I’ve been trying it out in the last two weeks and I love it. However, yesterday the instructor sang through most of the songs and I got so annoyed I started crying. I finished the ride but she totally ruined it for me... which is probably a sign that I’m not super stable right now.
Yay! We got a fancy treadmill (NordicTrack, with iFit capability) for Christmas and it's the greatest savior of this time for us. We can "travel" and exercise and it's been awesome.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

Some of the instructors are not good. I especially dislike the ones that call out names on the leaderboard constantly. No one cares if Karen in Kansas is on her 100th ride.
You just have to keep trying until you find someone you like. I really like Cody. He’s funny and he’s really good about telling you the target metrics.
I would LOVE a peloton, but I have a fancy gym membership (when it's open - it's kind of nice to save the money right now AND have a valid excuse for why I'm not going). I actually really like my gym - spin and fitness classes, a yoga studio, pilates reformer classes (for extra $$, of course), big, fully stocked workout area, indoor and outdoor pools, fully stocked locker rooms, etc. It's just having to go there and be around people that's the downer, lol. Also, they are officially closed by the state right now, and even the week before that happened, I told my husband to quit going, or to at least quit showering there.
My Peloton was definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made. I like Kendall, Denis, sometimes Alley. I like Cody, but sometimes I get tired of him talking so it depends on my mood. I've been riding 5 days a week for 19 weeks!

I just got an interview for a job I think I’d really like. Last week they said they were holding off on interviewing and hiring but just got an email that they changed their mind and they’re moving forward. An acquitance who used to work there recommended me for the job and I spoke with the director via email, so crossing fingers it goes well.
I love my peloton, ive had it nearly a year. My favorite instructors are christine, matt and cody. Definitely try them all out. Theres an 'all for one' ride from last 4th of july where they all teach a song, well, most of them, so you can get a good feel for their style.
I also bought a cheap fire tv and have it near my bike so i can do the floor exercises with that app that way. I used to cast the bike, but the app now works with fire.

Pretty much all of this. I would love one, too! But I have the same gym set up, down to the spin classes I love and favorite instructors. The only time I could justify it is when I can't make it to my usual classes. The competitive nature appeals to me. I would probably get obsessed with climbing the leader board
The last class I went to was Saturday morning, March 14th. I remember going and feeling uncomfortable at how close I was to the other people. This was before our state had closed school or closed non-essential businesses, but others had started.
I really miss it though. I miss my trainers and instructors and the community aspect. I have made friends in my classes over the years.

Even though I'm in PA, my gym is headquartered in your state, so it's probably the same company.
Today is my first video classroom session for my Intro to Social Work class and I'm so excited to meet with my classmates. There are only 12 of us in class so we're really tight knit.

I'm getting a new phone!
DH's phone died. He thought it was the battery, but a new battery didn't solve the problem, so I'm getting a new one and he's getting my old one.
What's really funny is that I had a dream maybe 4-6 months ago that I got a new phone and DH was really excited because that meant he'd get my current phone.
He's not actually excited, but I'm due for an upgrade and he isn't so I win!
Anyone have an Echelon vs. the Peleton? DH wants to get a Peleton but Costco had an Echelon and I was impressed as heck with it, too, and for a lot less (plus...Costco, lol.) Is Peleton worth the extra $1K or whatever the difference is? (Echelon was $1,500.) FWIW, we have a Y membership I never use. lol.

My amazon order arrived early. I opted for delayed shipping so I could get the $3 digital credit and they still shipped it in 2 days. I guess they saw that it was medical supplies (needle disposal containers) and sent it out.
This is semi-COVID related but it makes me smile. I have some tulips right outside my fence. They've been blooming for the past few days and the number of people who stop and take a picture is crazy now that everybody is out walking. I'm glad the flowers are making people happy.
sangria, did they have to come in your house to deliver and set up the bike? I'm interested in getting one, but we're not letting anyone in our house right now.

I have nothing to add other than my friend's spin studio gave them all bikes to use at home and is doing classes for them online until they can reopen..

Nope! The basically delivered it to the door completely put together and peaced out
Keep the instructor recommendations coming! I was a little overwhelmed yesterday from all the options and didn’t know what to pick
I just discovered Emma and I love everything about her: voice, music, rides, and arm intervals. I like Jess King. I want to love Kendall but I don't like her playlists.
