After way too much time, I'm finally pretty much done with my 3 yr old daughter's room. She's moving from our gender-neutral nursery (which will become a guest room) to this room. I tried to decorate it in a way it will age with her, and I can swap out things like the curtains or paint if she likes as she gets older but keep the bigger pieces like the bed and dresser.
I installed all the crown molding and panel molding. I refinished the French provincial dresser (it was my grandparents'). The prints above the desk are from etsy and I LOVE them. The rug was the starting/inspiration point for the colors of the room - the low light photos below show the coral looking a little more intense than it is in person. The little desk was a dumpster dive piece my grandparents had on their porch, I gave it some fresh life for this room. The flower lamp was my grandparents' too. I upholstered the closet doors (was originally planning to make them like ribbon boards but decided it looked too busy). I stenciled and hand painted the flowers around her name. The cross stitch butterfly piece is something I made when I was a super cool teenager....
view from the hall....and then a little bit of clutter near the desk
I did two closet rods so she could reach her dresses and things.
One more of my dog - it's sort of "his" room....hopefully he'll share - he's thrilled I'm interrupting his afternoon nap

I love it! Very impressive.
I have a dresser like the navy one that belonged to my grandparents. It is an ugly dark wood but I have contemplated painting it and been too nervous (plus lazy). But yours looks fabulous!
I have a whole set of furniture in that style that was my mom's and then mine. It's a cream and gold that's fine but looks pretty rough after like, 50 years of use. I never thought of redoing it in a bold color but I love that!

thats what that one used to be! There’s a nightstand in the corner I did too. Painting it was a ton of work. I sanded it and used oil based primer, paint, and finishing wax. I’m hoping it holds up to abuse!

I love everything about that room. Great job! Everything fits so nicely without being matchy matchy or cookie cutter. The navy color of the dresser is perfection.
