As companies nationwide look for coronavirus relief, the Trump Organization has talked with Deutsche Bank and a Florida county about delaying payments on some loans and other obligations.

Our local grocery store did this a few weeks ago, and I've seen the rest of the stores around here do the same thing. It makes sense to me.
I makes 0 sense to me.
It’s another way for you to introduce your home germs onto their loading area/carts and for other people to pick them up and take them back to their houses. It’s like putting your hands in a bunch more places than they would otherwise be.

Which is not how this virus is spread. At all. Hence all the articles about how it's okay to bring packages into your home.
You'd need someone to sneeze directly on the bag or to wipe the bag on something that is still wet from someone sneezing or coughing on it, then touch that spot on the bag, then touch your face, in order for it to spread. (Never mind the fact that f someone just sneezed on your grocery bag, they probably sneezed on you as well.) And even without washing the bags when you get home (and presumably wash your hands), the half life of the virus is such that it wouldn't be transferable the next time you used the bag.
msmerymac, do you have any good evidenced based articles that can help me feel better about that? We're still getting hello fresh delivery and such, and I kind of panic every time.
I can’t sew, so I guess I’ll be doing the bandana with hair elastics.
I just ordered a dozen solid gray bandanas from Amazon today. I’ve already got a bunch of hair ties. I figured it was coming and wanted to get ahead of it. I’m also very medically vulnerable and DH has to go to work/school next week to pass out learning packets to parents as they drive through the school parking lot.
FDA eases restrictions on gay blood donors amid 'urgent need'
The new guidelines reduce the donation deferral period for sexually active gay and bisexual men from 12 months to three, meaning these otherwise healthy men will now have to abstain from same-sex sexual activity for 90 days before they are eligible to donate blood.
In NJ they originally closed gun shops in our stay at home order, then someone sued so now they’re open again. I guess idiots think they can shoot the virus?
Not defending gun nuts, but they're buying them because it kind of feels like we're heading into a dystopian future novel where you have to defend your property and food, honestly. I'm not going out and buying a gun and yes, these people probably are idiots, but I don't think the reasoning is as crazy as "shooting the virus".
I grew up with guns and my brother has a few in a safe, this dystopian scenario is the main reason I would bring a gun back into my house. Him and I even discussed it, and he offered me one “in case things got wooly”

Was there anything news worthy on today's daily briefing? I can't watch him speak and it seems he is just holding these daily briefings to hear himself talk. Do we even need them at this point?

The show and tell today was Jared Kushner. I don’t think much came out of it.

“It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.”

It looks like it doesn't matter if a gay man is married/in a monogamous relationship?
Soooo, he gets two and most of us will never be able to get one?
A small part of me gets that, as much as I absolutely loathe him, he's the President of the United States and a major world leader (ugh), and monitoring his status for COVID is important. The other big part of me feels like you do. My state is only testing people who are sick enough to be hospitalized, and if you're not sick enough to need medical attention basically don't even bother trying to get tested.

I can’t be mad about this. Him falling ill would be a national security event. If Obama were presiding over this (not that he was so stupid that this would have gotten so bad under him) I would expect routine testing. I hate Trump and hate that he gets tests when I so many who can’t despite being symptomatic, but I see why POTUS should be tested regularly, especially since he does have to see a lot of people.

Haven’t tried it yet but I saw that one done with “rings” cut out of pantyhose legs. Person said it was gentler on the ears.

Yeah, they haven't changed that rule. But it's a step forward.

Sooooooo, it's supposed to sit around forever and never be touched just so we can say we have it?

I also want to know who “our” is referring to here. If it’s not supposed to be states.

Right?
Can he define “our”? Is “our” the federal government? Or maybe just the Trumps and Trump sycophants?
