Do you or have you subscribed to any subscription box services? Which ones have you tried and what did you think of them?
I feel like I'm super late to this game, but I kind of want to try one of the beauty/skincare ones and there are SO many out there now that I'm having trouble deciding which one to try. I'd love any specific recommendations if you love yours!
The only experience I sort of have with subscriptions is Raddish Kids, but I didn't actually subscribe and instead bought a few month's worth of boxes from a neighbor after her kid wasn't enjoying it. I also once got a free mini Fab Fit Fun box from a friend, but never signed up for the whole shebang.
My mom had gifted me Fab Fit Fun and I had maybe 4 boxes, but I just told her cancel. It wasn't worth it all. It was a mix of the oddest stuff. I've collected most of it to donate.
I did birchbox back in the day. I don't remember why I cancelled. Probably because I had so much stuff and I couldn't use it up in a month.
I did Birchbox for about a year awhile back and liked it. But then I felt like I was getting the same stuff or stuff that I wouldn't use. I figured I'd rather spend that money to get exactly what I wanted or needed.
I have a friend who really liked Ipsy but she is also very easy to please!

I do Stitch Fix every now and then. I’ve only had one box that was a total fail but they made up for it. I really like it. I’ve also got referral codes for anyone who wants it! I think it gets each of us $25.

I didn't even think of Stitch Fix! I did it a few years back and recently re-started. I've had very good luck with the two boxes I've gotten this year!

I’ve done Birchbox and FabFitFun.
I wasn’t a huge fan of Birchbox because the sizes of items are so small, you get one or 2 uses out of them. For beauty products, I like to use them for a bit to see how my skin/hair react to them.
I really liked FabFitFun, especially if you sign up for the 1-year subscription. You can choose 5 of the 8-9 products in the box (out of a choice of usually 3-4 per category) to ensure you will use the products. I’ve found some of my favorite things in FFF boxes that I wouldn’t have otherwise tried.
My kids do kiwi - we do atlas and tinker crates. We love them. I’ve done stitch fix and have gotten some great things. I’ve done some beauty ones in the past but I was accumulating so much stuff so last year I cancelled everything and donated all my unused stuff to a local woman’s shelter. I’m trying to use up all my opened products and buying things as I need them.
I just got myself a KiwiCo box. It's normally kid focused, but they have two lines that are for ages 14-104 - which is my age range! Got a 3 month subscription for something to do while I am staying home.
Allure is $16 a month. Some months are not great but I always get a decent value overall every month. It's one of my favorite boxes as at least I feel like I get to try lots of new things and the value is worth it. Some months they blew me out of the water.
Boxy was great at first. But I am getting a little annoyed lately as it seems they have a new premium box and they are getting much better items than the base box. I already have boxyluxe which is quarterly but last month it wasn't as great. So I am debating about cancelling it. I feel like I have a better grip on the makeup I have now and I am not getting as much out of it as I did before.
For clothes I have stichfix and I really like it. I have tried various clothes boxes (fashom, natalie attired) and they aren't as good. I also have wantable but only every 3 months because its expensive.
I do CauseBox. They offer sustainable/low packing items and many of them support artisans (especially women) in developing countries. I don’t use all of the items, but they are good for random gifting opportunities throughout the year. They do have skin care items in just about every box and so far I’ve used/loved all of those items.
I just started getting Coloring & Classics. You get a coloring book, a puzzle book and a book to read (you pick the genre). I love it and think the price is great.
I've done a few over the years off and on, including Stitch Fix, Evereve, Fabfitfun, Boxy Charm, Ipsy, etc. (My son gets tinker crate) I've gotten some things from each of them that I like but ultimately I find that it becomes wasteful for me. I started getting stuff that I wasn't really interested in. I'm not into eyeshadows so all of those went to my daughter, I like the skin care routine I have so I wasn't really interested in switching it up. The clothes were hit and miss. I like getting a "treat/surprise" in the mail but I'm probably just better off order things that I know I want. Although I am currently getting a small box every month that just has lip products, it's fun and inexpensive and has introduced me to products I like. If anyone wants a code let me know.
I normally do RocksBox but I put it on hold since I can't go anywhere or see anyone.
I forgot about this one. I did it when they first came out and really liked it. I ended up pausing my subscription b/c I was being bad and buying a lot of the pieces they sent me (at a discount) so I felt I needed to wear what I had.
We get Misfits Market. It's advertised as ugly produce that grocery stores don't want, but it's mostly normal-looking surplus produce. I like that it supports farmers and reduces food waste, and right now I really love getting some fresh produce delivered.
I do the Allure box as well. Some months I’m kinda eh...but there’s usually at least one thing I like. Overall I love it - I have so many good skincare samples to work my way through, and I’ve found some new holy grail products.

I get Ellie active wear. It's around $40 for a sports bra, leggings and a top...you can choose out of a few different styles. There got to a point where I skipped a lot because I didn't like the styles or had too much. Some of it isn't the best quality.
I love Nickel & Suede earrings and they do a monthly earring. It's not a subscription, though I wish it was - I just try to remember to go on and order them each month.
