What are your favorite blogs/sites for sewing and craft patterns? Pinterest seems to be the same stuff over and over again. I’m getting back into sewing (so still very much a beginner level), but I’ve got the itch to do more and more. (I also have an embroidery machine and a cutting machine). Would love to see some of the places you follow for inspiration, instruction, and patterns!!
For quilting I still follow InColorOrder. She has some great easy free tutorials on her site.
I also use Bluprint.com for some stuff.
I like The Foldline for clothes sewing- it’s mostly new patterns for women.
Much of what I see now is actually on Facebook. I’m in groups for two of the local independent fabric shops. One caters to quilting and the other to clothes sewing. They are constantly posting new patterns, ideas, and group members post loads of awesome projects.
I agree that Pinterest can get stuck in a rut. However, if I know specifically what kind of thing I am looking for (drawstring bag pattern) I do find that it pulls up lots of different options. I prefer using it for directed searches as compared to general browsing now.
I’m in a Facebook group for patterns for pirates. They have sizes for most patterns from small to 3x. Seeing people of all different sizes and shapes look amazing always makes my day.

How do you like their patterns? I haven't pulled the trigger on any of them yet.
Also, are they related to Made for Mermaids?!? because the two companies seem too similar to be a coincidence, but I can't find a firm answer anywhere.
mala- The only thing I've tried to make was a fail because I picked the wrong fabric. (I thought I hadn't but I did.) I honestly don't know what to look for as far as what makes a good pattern. Lots of other people seem to be successful though. They have a few free patterns so you can see without spending $ on the pattern. Made for Mermaids is owned by the sister of P4P.
