Definitely saved some but not a ton. We are a family of 6, including a teenage boy, so our grocery bill has gone way up (probably $150-$200 per month). We are trying to only eat out once per week but that was mostly what we aimed for before. Costs for school supplies are way up because we needed new headphones, school supplies, more books, and some enrichment activities to keep them entertained. Electricity will be going way up soon as we are supposed to get in to the triple digits this week. We are getting less expensive food to-go vs. sitting down in a restaurant so that is a savings but probably only $20 per week. Gas is down about 75% for a savings of about $300. Two multi-day Disney trips were cancelled so that saved about $1500 on hotel, parking, and food (we have passes). Gyms aren't charging so we save $116/month there and all of DS1's end of school activites were cancelled which saved a couple hundred. All summer camps are cancelled but we didn't intend to spend much there.
Saving on gas for me..like 150ish a month... Eating out decreased a bit..maybe 30 a month But heat bill up like 75 because we r home. Groceries up. I cancelled newspaper so that was 28 a month

I think we are spending more.
We didn’t eat out a ton before so that hasn’t changed. But groceries have definitely increased, esp since my MIL got stranded here so I am feeding another adult and DS isn’t eating at daycare. Add in fees and overspending for delivery, and groceries (plus booze) are way up.
We are also spending a bunch to entertain DS with LEGO sets and workbooks, etc.
We are finally doing some landscaping work and some other home projects since we’re now here 24/7 and can’t escape looking at it.
