2. Pregnancy-related AW/rants/randoms for the week?
3. Questions for the group?
4. What is/are the pregnancy-related item(s) you feel like you are procrastinating the most right now?
5. COVID-19/Current Events Related - Have you participated in any of the police brutality protests or have any plans to while pregnant? If you aren't comfortable attending a large event, have you supported the movement in any other ways?
2. I am readdddyyyyy to be DONE. I was 1cm dilated, 50% effaced at my appointment on Friday. Hoping for some progress by my next appointment on Thursday. More than anything, I just want to be done with work but I am trying to work up to my due date to maximize my leave time.
3. No questions
4. I think we're officially all done. I had been procrastinating on packing my hospital bag, but finally got that done last week b/c my OB was worried my water had broken. (It had not.)
5. I wanted to attend the walk/vigil in our town last week, but I can't do much physical activity of any type this pregnancy - my uterus is super reactive and I start getting cramps and contractions with almost any type of movement. I plan to make some donations instead, and hope to focus some of my pro bono work in this direction when I return from maternity leave.
2. My Zoom Shower was on Saturday and it was a lot of fun! There was a total of 23 attendees, but we were able to break it up into 5 "Breakout" rooms for portions of the Shower - people were grouped with others they already know well'. There were three "games;" A "Price is Right" guessing baby item prices, "Baby Bump or Beer Belly" where groups guessed if the photos of bellies were from babies growing or beer, and then a Trivia of questions answered by my H. One of my aunts had a Woodland theme diaper "cake" shipped to me for my Zoom background so it felt more festive, and the host sent a few other decor items to help with making my Zoom background more like a Baby Shower environment. It made my weekend a lot more fun than normal since COVID.
3. No Q's this week.
4. Decorating the nursery - the biggest hurdle is removing an entertainment station in baby's room because it is too heavy for my H to lift by himself, and I can't help. We will probably wait for the baby to be born, and then have a trusted friend come in and help him move it and probably take it to the dump unless donation centers start taking furniture items again. It's in the space where the baby's dresser/changing table will be, so I may end up using our Pack & Play/changing station in the meantime and I need to figure out how to store baby's clothes until then.
We also need to get the crib set up - that hurdle is that we are using a hand-me-down from my cousin who lives about an hour away. He wants to drive it down to us, but I don't want anyone in our home until after the baby is born (and with social distancing and sanitizing like crazy).
Figuring out these logistics is what we're procrastinating on, I feel like it will all come together once the baby is born, but it's a bummer looking in the nursery and seeing multiple piles of stuff instead of a nice neat room waiting for baby.
5. I'm not comfortable with either H or myself going out to any of the large events in the Seattle-area. There have been multiple events nearby and it looks like most people are wearing masks, but I'm overly worried about contracting COVID19 and delivering early/going into a coma/etc, or having H or I test positive in the hospital when I check-in to L&D and not being able to safely touch our son after he is born.
We don't have a ton of money to spare for fundraisers, so I think the only way I can help change the system is to pay closer attention to which candidates at the local level keep pressure on the local police unions and vote accordingly.

1. How far along are you? 30 weeks 2. Pregnancy-related AW/rants/randoms for the week? Finalized my FMLA paperwork and ordered my pump 3. Questions for the group?
4. What is/are the pregnancy-related item(s) you feel like you are procrastinating the most right now? I’ve been motivated to get things done and trying to pace myself to not do too much. Laundry and packing are the last bits on my list. 5. COVID-19/Current Events Related - Have you participated in any of the police brutality protests or have any plans to while pregnant? If you aren't comfortable attending a large event, have you supported the movement in any other ways? I’ve still been sheltering in place but I’ve also not attended rallies before. I also live in a fairly historic area that’s gotten some really bad press in the past few years and things have gotten violent. I’ve been supporting local black charities.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/rants/randoms for the week?
My GD is starting to get a little erratic. I just need to make through two more weeks. I miss tacos.
3. Questions for the group? no
4. What is/are the pregnancy-related item(s) you feel like you are procrastinating the most right now?
Finishing packing my bag.

I can't march/stand for very long, but I am donating to every bail fund I can find.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/rants/randoms for the week? My in-laws bought us our carseat and pack n play and we signed up for an online childbirth class by a local doula.
3. Questions for the group? Does anyone have resources for birth plan decisions? I started looking at some templates online and there are so many little things I hadn't even considered, I would love to find a site that has the pros and cons of all the options.
4. What is/are the pregnancy-related item(s) you feel like you are procrastinating the most right now? The chair for the nursery. I was actually going to buy it this week, but now it's sold out in the color I want, so I'm conflicted as to whether I want to wait to see if it comes back in stock in that color or pick another one.
5. COVID-19/Current Events Related - Have you participated in any of the police brutality protests or have any plans to while pregnant? If you aren't comfortable attending a large event, have you supported the movement in any other ways? I have not attended, partially due to covid concerns, partially due to safety concerns, partially due to job concerns. I technically work for the fire department but operate under the Public Safety umbrella that includes the police. Unfortunately I could lose my job if I got arrested due to the sensitive nature of the systems I have access to. I have donated to several different organizations (Richmond bail fund, BLM757, ACLU), offered rides to friends that are going to protests, reposting info on Instagram and Facebook, arguing with "ALL LIVES MATTER" people. I wish I could be doing more.

My Pregnancy/Labor Zoom classes uses the book "Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Newborn," 5th edition by Penny Simkin. Chapter 8 goes over Birth Plan stuff pretty well.
I've completed three of my six classes so far, and it was pretty helpful to think of all the different options and the ways that you can't control what will happen. We went over Birth Plans in the third class, and I think we're following up in the fourth class this week.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/rants/randoms for the week? I am feeling baby more consistently now. We finally cleaned out the office which is where the nursery will be. The rest of our house is a bit chaotic as we try to sort through stuff and find new homes for it but it’s getting better. The crib and dresser are being delivered on Friday!!
3. Questions for the group? Not this week.
4. What is/are the pregnancy-related item(s) you feel like you are procrastinating the most right now?
Scheduling a newborn photographer. We have always always always wanted beautiful newborn photos. I’m a bit scared with COVID and a bit overwhelmed at all the different options and costs but we need to make a decision soon.
5. COVID-19/Current Events Related - Have you participated in any of the police brutality protests or have any plans to while pregnant? If you aren't comfortable attending a large event, have you supported the movement in any other ways?
We aren’t comfortable being out in crowds but the local bail funds have basically all of my money now. I’m used to being very active in protests so it’s been a bit hard to sit back and engage in other ways but I’m learning.

1.30 W 4 D 2.I just found out that my maternity leave will use up my vacation time (which I knew) but NOT my sick time (which is a happy surprise). When I run out of vacation time, parental leave kicks in and is covered up until 12 weeks 3.What week do they do the DTAP shot? 4.Putting in car seat! We still need to reconfigure room and set thing up, even buy some furniture, but less pressured with that because of using bassinet 5. No
Not much exciting...I'm about 2 cm dilated now, so just 1 cm of progress over the last week. Which I know is meaningless, but I was still hoping for more. The limbo period of the last few weeks of pregnancy can be agonizing but I'm trying to be chill about it and enjoy our last few days (weeks? hours?) with B as an only child.

I just asked about this at the last appt (I’m 31 wks tomorrow) and they said typically between 32-38 wks.

I got mine at 27-28 weeks. They recently changed the recommendation here in Ontario to get it between 27-36 weeks, the earlier the better.

jennistarr1, I got mine at 28w with DD and that's when the office I work at gives them (usually given when you have your GD test), so should be anytime now for you.
