We have one in the center of my town and the center of my next town. So, both are close and convenient for postal services. We also have one in our city’s big mall. I thought that was cool when I saw it.
Fun fact, the post office in my town was built using federal funds from FDR’s New Deal program.

We have two, both about 5 miles from our house. I don't use either unless I have to, as a UPS store is only 2 miles from me and in a shopping plaza with a bunch of stores that I frequent. When I have to ship something I just lump it in with my other errands.
Would the one on Camp Meade Rd be quicker? I’m not 100% sure where you are. The Giant and Walgreens on Ritchie Hwy are “approved postal providers” so they should be able to mail things out if that helps.

Oooh. Thanks! But no, I’m out by the river. So the Pasadena one is closer than “mine” in Brooklyn. Giant might actually be closer though. That’s the direction we go for groceries. I only go to Pasadena for the post office and blood draws. We prefer that corner in Glen Burnie that has everything, or Severna Park.
We have one post office about a mile away, but it's actually more inconvenient/takes longer to get to than the post office that is 2 miles away. I think we have 4 or 5 within a four mile radius.
I grew up in a small town in NH a little over one hour from Boston. We did not have a post office. We had to drive to another town. There is still no post office there. I am sure there are numerous towns across the country that have no post office.
I also grew up in a small town in NH a little over an hour from Boston with no post office and now I’m really curious but don’t want to be creepy, lol.
I grew up in Brentwood, NH. Before we had a house number we had an RFD (rural free delivery) address.
I think there are 3 all about a mile or two away. None have parking lots so if you drive you just have to hope for good street parking. I prefer using fedex or ups since they are closer.

Ah, I grew up in *. I was thinking it would be wild if there was another * here. (PDQ)

I think just about every town in my county has at least one post office. I live on the border of two ‘burbs and I’m actually closer to the one in the neighboring zip code. It’s about 1.4 miles away. The next closest one (the one in my zip code) is 2.5 miles away.
I thought every town had a post office? We have one a few miles away - city of around 50K.
I looked it up and every city I've ever lived in has had a post office, but I guess some cities have multiple zip codes depending on population and each one might not have it's own post office.
I would venture to guess that all "cities" have more than one zip code. Our zip code covers only 2.2 square miles. Heck even the island of Nantucket has 3 zip codes.
To the OP, our post office is about 1.5 miles away.

I'm 2.5 miles away. It takes me about 5 minutes to get there by car, and it's super convenient (I pass by it regularly).
When we lived in another part of town, there wasn't one for my zip code. The closest one was about 20 minutes away (7 miles), but it was in a part of town I almost never went to, so it seemed like a huge inconvenience to have to drive over there. (I live in Florida.)
Not what you asked, but you know you can print USPS postage for packages online if you have a printer, right? I used to think you could only do that for priority mail, but you can do first class, parcel post, media mail, etc, all online. But you still need a printer to print the label.
Several POs within 10 min of my daily home/work routine, to answer the question.

Every ZIP code in my borough has one, and I live about a 10-minute walk from the closest one. I can also walk to a USPS-approved convenience store that accepts packages and sells stamps so I almost always go to the convenience store when I need to have something shipped since they're less crowded and are open more. Then there are also plenty of freestanding mailboxes in the area I can slip envelopes into.
We had one in our neighborhood about a 5 minute walk away; it was also a video rental store and an ice cream shop. They were so beloved but closed two years ago. Now I have to drive to the center of town, which is still only 10-15 minutes I guess.
